Baine actually tears up a little. He reverently traces the lettering and admires the flowers decorating this absolute masterpiece. Heโs speechless as he puts it on with Miloโs help, fastens straps and adjusts his cloak. He looks Milo in the eye and says simply, โThank you. I love it.โ
Then his eyes widens suddenly. He goes โFUCK Iโm late!!โ and crashes his way back out of the smithy.

"You..." Milo manages to get out before Baine has fled the building.
Looking out into the street, Milo sees Iri sitting in the dust where Baine unknowingly had knocked him in his frantic exit.
"Ah good, you're still here. I've got another errand for you." Milo scribbles out a quick note which reads 'Greetings, Baine. I'm very glad you like the breastplate. I'll be even gladder when you pay for it. Don't die in the Feywild. Yours patiently, Milo'.
Handing it over to Iri, who is dusting himself off irately, he tells him "I doubt you'll catch him with those long legs, so run this up to the Cavernous Seashank like you were with the first one, alright lad? Tell them it's for Baine when he gets back."
He pats Iri on the shoulder, who turns muttering and starts to make his way, yet again, back down the street.

A large red figure approaches: Master Milo are you here? "You can hear something racketing in a cage and being feisty" (You see a Dust Mephit hitting on the bars of a cage with sad but mean look on its face).
"Yes, I'm here!" Milo takes in the tall horned figure with the stone hand, and the creature in the rattling cage. "You'd better keep that thing under control, I don't want it getting loose in my workshop.
I know you, I think. How's that Dragonborn doing, the one you were going to ask me to take in?"

Rama Looks at the creature and chuckles : He is harmless, I found a buyer for him who likes this Critters apparently. Yes he is enjoying the good life at the winery now. So as you can see this cage is a fold-able one when not in use, wanted To commission two like them that fit creatures like this one safely for both them and me. and would love to commission 1 Great Sword, 2 short swords , 1 Falchion and 1 Great axe. All to have this symbol into it " He shows a beautiful silver ring with a signet of a Flaming Crown and A Sword Going Through it" and to be ready to be silvered after. Is that possible Master Milo?

Milo's eyebrows raise at the size of the commission, but nods - "Sure, that's very possible. In fact I have some shortswords to hand, and I was interested in the falchion I made for that young monk, Markas, so I've been practising those. I'm sure I have a workable blade in the stack." He gestures to a small pile of ready made blades of various lengths and styles, waiting to be sharpened, polished and hilted. "So those won't take long to finish and engrave your symbol. They won't be fancy, but they'll be strong and sharp. I don't tend to make larger items until they're commissioned, so the greatsword and greataxe will need to be made from scratch. As for the cages, I can make the body of them no problem, but if you want a lock that goes beyond a simple latch you'll have to find someone else, a tinkerer of some sort.
I can have the whole lot finished in two weeks, though a week of that will be just the greatsword! So I can do that first, or last if you prefer, and you can collect it separately. If you want them all together then bring a friend - you're a big fellow but even you would need a few more hands to carry four swords, an axe and some cages.
As for cost, lets see..."
Milo brings out a slate and a small abacus, setting them down on a side table and tots things up, muttering to himself.
"Shortswords...10 each...falchion...hmm, 20? Axe, 30... greatsword, uh, 50. And the cages, well..." He returns to Rama.
"I'd say all told we're looking at 125 gold, but given the size of the order I'm happy to make the cages just out of interest. Call it 120 gold for the weapons. How does that sound?"
I'll add OOC that as the PHB doesn't specifically include 'falchion' I'm assuming it to be a reskinned scimitar, like I made for Markas. If you meant it to be something else, please let me know.

Rama smiles saying : 2 weeks should do just fine, I will come in a few days bringing the locks for you to set into the cages, so maybe start with the great sword. 120 GP works perfectly. Would you rather have an advance on this commission considering its size?

Rama takes out a pouch and looks like giving it a thought and says : I know for a fact that those cages will cost a lot more, so please accept this "Handing over a pouch containing 120 GP" , similar pouch when i come to collect ok? See you soon!. With a smile and a salute he turns around and walks out, not actually waiting for anymore answers from Milo.

Milo is left holding a far heavier pouch than expected. "They're just cages..." he says to the empty room. Some people just won't be told though - adventuring was a world Milo had only ventured into a few times, but it didn't take much to see that it attracted a certain kind of individual who was quite free with their coin. You rarely found an adventurer with a hoard. Stowing the pouch away safely, he set to work finding a good length of steel for the greatsword. Anung Un Rama If you have a reference for what you're expecting the cages to cost, I'd be very grateful to see it. I was basing the cost approximately on hunting traps which are 5gp each. There are no canon costs for cages of any kind.

A few days have passed and the rather large and curious looking Tiefling reappears and shouts out in his humourful deep vibrating voice: Master Milo! Can I come in? I have brought the locks for the cages!

Milo pauses in his work to answer - "Ah? Alright, come set them down. Somewhere clear, so they don't get lost." Indeed it is difficult to find a surface that doesn't have tools heaped on it. Many of them seem scarcely different to each other, but they all have their use and place.
Rama can see that Milo has been grappling with an unhilted blade nearly as long as he is tall, and is in the process of introducing a channel down the centre.

"Come in, come in," the deep dwarvish voice says, though hesitantly. Stepping in, Igrainne can see that Milo, sporting a pair of thick leather gloves, is focused on delicately holding a small ceramic pot in set of tongs. She watches as he carefully tips the glistening contents onto a huge sword, and might wonder why before seeing that the liquid doesn't pour off onto the floor, but is held on the sword's surface by a shape made of oily wax. Sighing contentedly at a job well done, Milo puts the pot immediately into a bucket of water before taking off the gloves, saying "An hour should do it. Keep clear of that, you don't want it getting on your skin, trust me..." Finally looking at the well-dressed girl by the door, he briefly frowns suspiciously at the white hair, the dark complexion, the pointed ears, recognising her Drow lineage. But he doesn't say anything, and returns to business.
"Leather is it? Well I won't say I don't have some skill in leather-working, but I'm not really set up for that here. You'd have better luck talking to Lara Layland, up at the main market street. It's a small place, but you'll know it when you see it."

Rama can see that Milo has been grappling with an unhilted blade nearly as long as he is tall, and is in the process of introducing a channel down the centre.
Rama enters carefully for his horns are fully grown and almost scraping the roof; he sets the locks down on one of the surfaces with a tiny bit of space without disturbing anything on it . He looks at the blade and admires the raw beauty of it, tempted to touch it but keeping his hands to himself so he doesn't disturb the dwarf in his zone. He stands silently in the side trying not to disturb observing Milo doing his magic. ( he is basically waiting for Milo to be free to actually have a conversation with him )
