Kirhan Darkfinger is an older, yet quite tall, dwarven scholar. After a long career as a scholar in Neverwinter, Kirhan has decided to spend his twilight years making a trade in Kantas as a notary, scribe and book binder. Recently he has opened up a shop front to the public after the tragic loss of the town Library some time back, Kirhan has been working on a personal collection that he's opening to the public along with his services.

A quiet knock on the door comes out of now where on this quiet afternoon, and you can hear the door opening and a large red figure appears, You see a rather large red tiefling with a peculiar right stone arm. Good Afternoon dear sir, Hear that you have access to books that might be of interest to me!

"That depends on what books might be of interest?" Kirhan finishes the binding, closing the book cover. "This place is a rare opportunity for discovering new things. There are books in my possession here that no one else from Faerun has. Yet." the dwarf places the finished book into a drawer. "What do you seek, perhaps we can come to an arrangement?" |

Rama stealthily tries sneaking a peak on the book that was just went into the drawer (11 on stealth and 21 on perception)I seek knowledge of a few different areas, First and foremost any type of abjuration and invocation war magic is of interest to me, languages and everything about lycanthropy and creatures tied to it!

The cover of the book is written in what looks like Dwarven runes.
"I have some grimoires that could be of use to you. Biographies and memoirs of some old wizards of note perhaps? Lycanthropes is something I would need to ask around for, frankly." Kirhan moves to a shelf towards the rear of the shop and starts scanning the spines.
"As for languages, you might be better off seeking a teacher, but if you wish to be self-taught and have the time and patience to practice, then I might have some tomes for that too." He pulls out a few books and stacks them on a chair. "Here we have some accounts of war mages. Interesting bits of history here, including 'The Arcane of War' by Zuun Thur. 10 gold each."

Rama looks at the books, picks one delicately and looks into a few of the pages, does the same with each book showing carefulness in treating the books.Surprisingly for his bulky brutish figure. I will buy them all! But when would you like me to come over to check for the lycanthropy books?

"I'll send word to you about any volumes on Lycanthropy." Kirhan says, as he wraps each book for travel in.
Resting a hand on the stack of 5 wrapped books, "How about languages then? Looking for a teacher? I could teach you a few words to keep you going for a good time in the halls of dwarves?" Kirhan then lists off a dozen words in dwarvish.

The opening and closing of the shop door made no apparent sound, but standing in front of you is a curious-looking figure: an Elven creature in odd dress. "Gordul!" they say in perfect Dwarvish, "But isn't this a treasure trove of knowledge and no mistake! My compliments, Master Darkfinger; they weren't exaggerating when they said this was the place to come for books and learning! Kirhan turn to look, a contraption of various glasses on his face. Getting down from his stool, leaving his work station behind he looks up at the elven figure before him.

"I'd like to learn everything about everything, please, aha. But failing that, do you have any historical accounts of Daring and Kantas. I'm new in town and would like to 'get up to speed' on my new home. Also, I'm travelling to visit your kin in Vorsthold soon, so any books on that place would be greatly appreciated."

"Well, I have been collecting accounts from people to collate into a set of books. You can find the first few draft volumes here." Kirhan hands Skylerian Morningdew three binders of notes, Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3. "Please don't leave the shop with those, feel free to make yourself comfortable here though" Kirhan points to a comfortable reading nook illuminated by a skylight. |
