Gara will stand for the remaining, many of the characters don't know him yet and others have forgot him, but will happily do my bit for diversity etc, plus we can't have only one arcane spell caster on the council...
Can tie in nicely to my quest on Tuesday 🤷♂️
Quest I will be uploading on Sunday. Look for "Tower of the trickster God"

*A female Tabaxi raises a paw*
"Good day, I'm Timber Burning at Night, but you can call me Tim. Just to say, I'm new in town and I won't be voting as I'm not qualified to promote any candidate - I'm still learning the ropes of this place; but I hope you don't mind a newcomer proffering an opinion?
This all seems very sensible and heartening: proportional representation is a wonderful thing, especially in a town as diverse and fragile as Daring 2.0. Lovely to see such a range of faces and backgrounds and skills up for nomination.
I'm sure this has been considered, but just wanted to ask, will the new council be honouring all previously made deals and pacts and treaties; as well as new ones being forged recently and in the coming months with a whole host of allies and other parties? I understand there are quite a few! As a Tabaxi, I'm theoretically all in favour of grandmaternal figures - but this Granny seems quite tricksome. I'm sure we'll be speaking to her, and others, with one voice and not negotiating individual agreements that affect the wider town.....? I guess my question is: how do we keep track of everything we’ve promised to everyone? Sorry to disturb the proceedings.
Thank you."

((I believe the candidates now are Nowhere, Dorian, Varis ( Varis/G'Lorth/Sundilar) seraphina, Doom Bah ( hendopolis) and Gara ( Dvärgar / Gara), however only Gara, as self-nominated, confirmed to campaign so far)) (As Daisy said she’ll support Rholor and Dorian, after that she does not take part in the discussion). A year later she returns to find the council at the state it is at that time: When a large brown bear walks into the council room, nobody is surprised. It’s been a year since the Bearfolk helped the citizens of Daring Heights reclaim their city from the orcs and all were used to seeing bears around the town. However, the bear shifting into a young female dwarf turns heads. Some of the older citizens of Daring recognize Daisy, she now looks a lot more… druidic, with small vines braided into her hair, acorn earrings and a brown fur collar on her coat. She speaks to the council: “My friends, it’s good to see you all again! Last year we made a defence pact with the Bear King to help free Daring Heights from the orcs. One of his towns Neuyeya is now our close partner in trade. In the last year I’ve spent a lot of time in Neuyeya and I believe it is essential that we ensure peace preservation. I have connected with the druidic circle in the Great Northern Forest and they helped me speak with the great Kantas Oak in Neuyeya. What I learned is that the alliance of the Daring Heights with Kundarians is concerning to the Bearfolk, but what is perhaps more important is the ongoing war between the Bearfolk and the Stone Giants to the east in the mountain ranges. I’ve established trust with many Bearfolk and learned about their ways, they are on good terms with the druids of the Forest. We must ensure the region is safe by building a strong connection and simply paying them a tax for their service will not be the ground that we need for that. Daring is my home and I worry about our representation with the Bear King and Neuyeya. I practiced my druidic force by connecting with the Forest and can travel quickly through it. Let me be your ambassador with them, what say you? My heart is in this friendship. We can start with arranging a culture exchange week, we will send a group to represent us and receive their guests. Our market already have some merchants from Neuyeya, why not use that as an opportunity to introduce their culture? The most important thing is to understand each other really, and no better way to do that than with songs and wine.”

After all that, did we ever settle who's actually on the council now?

Yes, Tugark challenged everyone to an arm wrestle over it and won. He is now the benevolent dictator of Daring Heights /jk

Oh yes, I never said. No one could come to a decision, so the positions have been filled in the Gap Year, should everyone ever be able to unite on a candidate, we can work that out, but currently the positions have been filled by the Three Headed Ettin (Coll & Cecil attend meetings variously as representatives of the adventuring community) and the 9th seat went to Watch Captain Thundercog by default.
