This follows on after the 'Serving Justice Unseen' session
In the morning following the trial, Derthaad walks into Apply Every After for some chat with Celina about what happened.
"Morning."
Celina is sitting in a chair at the front of her shop. She has her head down reading over some notes when she hears the door open and a customer walks in. She immediately looks up and hears the familiar voice of Derthaad.
She grins “Well Morning to you too”.
Celina quickly goes to grab a bag from behind the counter and hands it out for Derthaad to take. “So here are the apples I promised you could have as thanks… for ehh… yesterday”.
Derthaad grabs one apple out of the bag.
"I really hope those aren't other 'you are found guilty' notes from other parties. It seems to become a trend with you recently. Am I to pack additional potions and supplies for the eventual 'Celina Zabinski tricked a crime boss and went missing' event?"
“You can take the whole bag of apples by the way”, she put the bag on the counter and nudges it closer for Derthaad to take. There’s probably 10 apples in the bag.
“Ha what a fun imagination you have there Derthaad. Me… tricking someone… ha, why I’d never… but are you saying in that hypothetical situation you’d come join me? Potions to throw at the enemy hah what an interesting idea. You’re too kind”, Celina grins widely.
After scanning the shop to make sure no one's around, Derthaad message Celina with "You know I was right behind you when the name you spoke wasn't Celina, right?" followed up in normal speech "You're lucky it wasn't a real trial in a real tribunal, otherwise such information may have gotten out. And I strongly advise in watching out whom you decide to trick and lie to for there are many magical and non-magical means to retrieve information, ones that your skills will not be of use against."
Celina quickly glares at Derthaard. The grin drops from her face for just a moment at the mention of her name. Quick enough for Derthaad to realise he's hit a nerve with Celina. She ignores his message in her head. She stares for a few moments before her usual grin returns. She realises he only means a warning and not a threat. She takes a deep breath "Interesting words from a Sergeant. 'Should' I ever find myself doing such a thing maybe I'll remember this. However, as I mentioned that's not my style... I don't do this. If I happen to come across some tricksters in my future, I'll pass this message on. But yes, luckily it wasn't a real trial. I had no clue what was going to happen after I got that initial letter, and that's why I reached out to you. So I guess... thank you for the help...". Celina grins again "You know Derthaad I mean after you said those nice words in court... one might think we're actually friends".
Derthaad gives another sigh and quietly says "Very well, then." He then grabs the bag of apples starts leaving "I'll be heading back to Daring Heights, duty awaits and -with a small groan- papers await." As he opens the door to the shop, he holds it open for a second "And Celina" as he turns to her with a look as serious as her previous glare "Every lie we tell, we incur a debt to the truth. Sooner or later, that debt will be paid. Take care." As he then walks out and closes the door behind him.
As Derthaad is leaving, she grins again and yells out "Ok, well goodbye FRIEND". She continues with her wide grin as he leaves the shop. But once the door shuts, the grin slowly fades and she sits there pondering his last words to her.
After a few moments, she eventually says under her breath "Well f**k".
