Following Bubbles [Downtime]

I am the night, I am a shadow. 

Stedd had been giddy, overwhelmingly pleased at how successfully he had been following Bubbles.
He attributed this to his barrel-rolls and his change of clothes, but in truth, Bubbles was simply distracted.

Misty Step! - Stedd said a bit too loudly as he ran across rooftops, making a loud thud as he landed.. 

Stedd liked Bubbles. The pair had been on many adventures together and most would agree that this was plain to see.
But she did often concern him.
Stedd had heard tales of Tielfling's, and knew that amongst his former crew they were held in suspicion. But he had found her pleasant company, if a little unpredictable.

It had been the past weeks events that had put him on edge.
To put it bluntly: Bubbles had been acting odd (Or indeed, more odd than usual). 

Disguise Self! - Stedd uttered under his breath, as he popped up his hood and edged closer.

Stedd had aimed to unravel the mystery of Bubbles' behaviour, but instead he had only more questions.
Bubbles had spent her evening running into every book or pawn shop available (Stedd had not decided to follow her inside, the smell of fish sure to out him).
This, coupled with fact that she had frequently been in conversation with herself, only raised further concerns for Stedd.

Longstrider! - Stedd yelled excitedly as Bubbles turned a corner. 

Stedd caught a glimpse of her face: haunted, seemingly frozen, staring at some unknown terror.  
For a moment, Stedd considered running to her and giving her a hug. 
Then he lost his footing... 

Featherfall! Featherfall! - Stedd shrieked as he crashed to the ground.  

As he dusted himself off, Stedd began to wonder if the potion he had purchased at Mace's pawnshop had any spell-casting capabilities to it at all...
