“So Belinda...” Flop. They fall onto the bed hands coiling round the hand of the whip. It feels cold, dark, powerful. “Sunday is so pretty, what with the floral crown and the adorable little elk. Then there’s that big beefy one Baine. Thank god we had them or we’d have been done for right!?”
Belinda’s voice tumbled through Faye’s head “First of all... Belinda... I’m pretty sure that’s not my name. But yeah that sword she used was pretty sick...”.
“So anyway Belinda these giants were making magic booties and admittedly stylish breast plates.” Faye gestures to the new gleaming plate she has on her “wait can you see...?”. They stand up and move to the floor length mirror and hold out the whip.
“Yes Faye it’s beautiful...”
“Anyway then we found all these ogres and stuff but we killed them. Sunday made half of them all icy, Markas shot some up with arrows, there was balls of fire and Baine went smacking with some hammers. Obviously I loaned a hand too with a couple smacks from you Belinda.”
Belinda attempts to interject. “Yes I know all of this I was there.”
Faye glances down at the weapon. It suddenly feels warmer... maybe flushed even. “Ohhhh yeah, anyway, so we eventually got to this giants hall with not much other fuss. Viceroy almost died... again... and then we sent Travorr in to sneak around with a bit of my invisibility and he managed to find out the giants had some weird metal eating things protecting them... and they had a forge inside.”
“Faye please I alr-“
“And then we went to sneak in but Sunday and Bubbles got separated from us, and Markas blew our stealth and Sunday shot us with a moon beam... then Baine got all mad and broke the door but it was like, all dark and stuff... anyway that cleared and there was a bunch of stone giants and they were possessed by this weird purple flower skull...”
“Faye. I know this. I was in your hand the entire time...”
“And then we just managed to beat them but Sunday died like twice... and then we stole a bunch of stuff and blew up the rest and foiled the giants from making booties.”
Faye grins down to the weapon now hot with anger... “huh Belinda you’re all warm... anyway I’m gonna get some sleep.”
“Finally. Peace”
