On returning to Daring Heights from the latest journey on the Venture to the southern waters, Tugark arrives at the Town Hall with two sealed letters in hand and gives them to attendant with instructions that they be delivered and opened only on his death, along with some gold pieces for the trouble.
The first is addressed to Carrot, the second has "living will" written on it, in gold leaf.
