In the Cavernous Seashank, Tugark sits across from a clean-shaven, brown-haired dwarf, Drogo Brown. Both have been nursing too-warm ales for some time as they've been exchanging the blow-by-blows of the recent pit fights.
"You know who's been making waves? That blue Half-Orc. There's definitely something going on with their appearance, I know that much, but I've never been able to catch them after a match to talk to them." Tugark says to the Dwarf, now downing their ale, "Aye, they're an odd one, but a good show" replies the Drogo.
"You'll have to keep a look out for them and get to the bottom of it while I'm away," Tugark says before finishing his own tankard and signalling Jedd for two more drinks, "with the wild success of the pit fights here in Port Ffirst I'm going to try and set something up in Daring Heights. There have been a few who've made their way back and forth now to take part so it seems worthwhile."
Jedd arrives with two more ales, departing with a few more coins. "I have a few leads on locations and partners in Daring Heights. Not too disreputable, but with the right kind of names to draw big enough crowds to start with. But in the meantime, I'm leaving you incharge of running Port Ffirst's Pit Fights." Tugark picks up his tankard, and proceeds to down the lot. A large belch is heard and felt across the tables, some people look over to Tugark, others know better.
Turning back to Drogo, Tugark continues, "It'll be good business to drum up some stories from the fights; Embellish them a little, develop some heroes and underdogs among the fighters, and some make sure to have some challenging villains too–It will all add to the spectacle." And with that he gets up from the table, and crossed to the bar before turning back to Drogo, "oh, and keep an eye on that kid, Rooster, the one with all the feathery gear. He seems like a good up-and-comer." Dropping a few more coins on the bar for Jedd, Tugark turns and leaves the Seashank.
We're making some adjustments to the current Pit Fighting setup - No longer will you need to be in Port Ffirst for a downtime week of Pit Fighting. And as was spoken about on discord (where we have a dedicated channel and an automated roll command for Pit Fighting) we'll be replacing PC rivals with player-made rivals. If you would like to contribute to the rota of pit fight rivals, please send the following to Guido :
