I'm currently very low on funds/treasure given that I only set out on my 1st adventure yesterday.
What would the starting bid on this auction of yours be?

As with any auction we will start as low as the bidders. But bear in mind that this is a very rare item in our little town and therefore I will not be parting with it easily. If needs be I will lug it around until someone can offer some appropriate trade or reward for it.
But we live in an era of growth and new starts, perhaps you can source the funds someplace around you?
