Hi all! As you probably know, our DMs are taking a well-earned week's break from running Kantas games after that epic season finale. But there seems to be some interest in having a DM-less Kantas session, so here is a rumour for it!
As I see it, we can do pretty much whatever we want that doesn't require information or adjudication by a DM. For those who feel like role-playing, it could be playing out some scenes that we know have already happened (the first time two characters met; a favourite pit-fight; the aftermath of a past adventure) or exploring new social interactions. Out of character, it could be talking through some shared downtime activities, collaborative map-making, helping each other think through new character ideas or where our current characters go next.
Could be in little groups or all together, or switching between the two.
Any time we hit something that needs DM input, we can just note where we've got to and shelve it as something to come back to when DMs are free (while trying not to make too much extra work for them!). If anyone knows they want to do something that might require a bit of simple mechanics (like maybe using an existing downtime activity from 'Xanathar's guide') we *might* (no promises!) be able to get advance DM approval of a set of rules for doing that.
So, who's up for it? And what sorts of things do you think you'd like to do?
[Logistics note: I need to check with DMs whether we can book tables at Bad Moon Café for this and, if so, how many. That may affect how many people can take part (unless we find an alternative venue but that is, frankly, more effort than I personally want to make for this). Also I don't feel like we need a meetup event for this session but tell me if you think it would be useful.]
