Maybe it is just the renewed volcanic activity in the islands South-East of Port Ffirst. Maybe it is the unsavoury characters recently arrived in town. Maybe it is just what sailors have always done, who knows. Whatever the case, in the past week too many employees of the Lenoir Brothers have been telling the tale of weird blue old men and red, fire-crested lions harassing them at sea.
The Brothers do not believe a word out a sailor's mouth, but cannot have them running scared. It is bad for business, and business is everything. The word is out: adventurers willing to investigate and put the sailors' minds at ease will be well compensated.
