A series of messages have arrived and been put up on the board next to each other, each written in a different hand on different paper. They all bear a message that is written in Elvish, is roughly similar and says something like: "Another round of the Amaranthine Games is coming up and I am in the market for participants. It shall be a race, according to what is currently known, though not much more is known. I am looking to hire racers therefore, I will take as many as are worthy to run. There is no limit on participants." Each is signed from the thrones of: The Queen of Night and Magic, the River King, the Summer Queen, the Snow Queen and a 5th parchment whose writing is scrawling and messy, but is signed 'The Jack.' Each has a space for signatures and suggests that before this race begins you should sign your name on the appropriate document and be ready at the appointed time. A reward is also listed on each parchment. The different rewards for racers are the following: Night and Magic - 100gp and a Silvered Weapon Titania - 50gp and a Day of Good Fortune River King - 100gp and a Potion from the King's stores
Snow Queen - 250gp Jack - 5 gold and a party [So, you can sign up to race on anyone's behalf. If everyone wants to go the same way, great. If not, also great. And yes, the rewards are per player. This should be... interesting.]

Milo sees the various notices from the Fey courts pinned to the board, and frowns. He remembers the damage done to Daring's farmlands by the forgetfulness of the River King, and his own part in these "Games", his own race through the deadening depression of the Shadowfell. He wants no further part of it. Let them play their games, they can play on without Milo Brightmane.
(Also my designated RPG that week is Star Wars and I don't have the time...)

Also, I thought we weren't gonna pick it up until you were back in May (like Coriolis? Or am I misremembering what was agreed on Monday night?)

Oh, this is *intriguing*! I have a character brewing who would love a shot at this race. And who may have a vested interest in the archfey...

Heret studies the wording of each message carefully, trying to discern whether there's anything to prevent a person from racing on behalf of more than one court at the same time.

You cunning so-and-so. Yes, it is an exclusive choice. You are representing a side and 2 sides could not win together

Heret has learned that the small print is sometimes where they catch you out, but sometimes it's where you catch them out! Well, he'll write his name in elven script at the foot of Titania's message and stamp it with his black ink seal depicting a leaping salmon.

Now that's a very good question. You may want to clarify on the day...
