[DH] Downtime in Daring

Part 2: Travel to StoneLeaf

After a couple of days, we meet again and this time we decide to stroll to StoneLeaf to explore how is the state of the town, and explore a bit more the caves that we found on a previous mission (before all this thing of the plague on Daring Heights).

Wild Gorilla appears

When we were getting close to the village, a Gorilla, Dormaz, appears on front of us, and we notice that we are surrounded by 8 shortbow archers.

Dormaz the Gorilla, with is crude common, he tries to communicate to us, that he wants something us, to pay something.
Since he doesn't look too bright, I try to deceit him saying that I have only one piece of gold, but sadly, sadly I didn't manage to trick him.

But since he and his companions, didn't look like they had a strong bond, we decided to cast doubt on him, by saying that his friends, will most likely betray him after this.
Even if Dormaz, fully believe us, he decided to ask his companions for reassurance, and that moment before his companions manage to answer to Dormaz, Zig casts Zone of Truth on them, and then some of them answered the following:
Of course we will betray you, damn, we didn't mean that, oh now is done, yes we would betray you, since you are a moron.

Then Dormaz start arguing with his fellows companions... And we stay for a bit enjoying seeing them arguing.

The archers, seeing that Dormaz wasn't cooperating anymore, they decided to leave us with Dormaz, since fighting now would be a battle royal.

Since the archers, left Dormaz, didn't know what to do, if to steal us or go after his ex-friends. So we convince him, that he should go after the archers, since they had betray him, and that he could sell, their stuff at Daring Heights, and if he wanted, he could change his life by following a more honourable life on Daring Heights. After proposing several things he could do, the only thing that he was interested was to kill things so we suggested him to be an Adventurer, that he would receive money to kill things.

Hearing that, he decide to leave us, and to hunt the archers...

Maybe one day on Daring Heights, we will see, Dormaz the Adventurer...

Stone Leaf

After investing the town, we notice that there is nobody here, still like the last time... Since everything looks the same, we decide to investigate directly the quarry (since the other time we checked the houses and we didn't found anything around).

During the investigation, we found that in the quarry, they found multiple Mausoleums and other burial structures on the quarry and every time the miners, found one of those structures, they stopped mining there and they mine around those structures.

I decide to cast Primeval Awareness to check if there is any evil creatures around, I only detect undead creatures on 1 mile range.

Then we decide to explore the previous cave were we open a portal, and other 2 portals were still close.

Stone Leaf dungeon cave

On the cave, we go straight away to the portal, that we previously opened, and we go forward, since we knew that there were traps here (slippery floors and pits with spikes), we decide to move cautiously.

Instead of going to the pits, were we dropped all the other zombies corpses, we continue throw the corridor, then we notice the temperature getting hotter on this part of the cave, Pieni decides to go forward, after a bit, I smell chicken forward, so I decide to go to investigate, and it's so hot that I get a bit burned I look at Pieni that I connect the dots.

At that moment, I notice that Pieni alerted something, and a Giant Skeleton Warrior, equipped with a Long Sword emerges from a sarcophagus on the end of the room.

Attacks: Multi attack (x2?)
Appearance: Giant Undead, is a like a skeleton, but wears better equipment (armor, weapons, better skills) and it's stronger
Equipment: He was wearing a chain mail, and huge long sword
