The spider silk endeavour has been going poorly so far for Alferron.
Seemingly having lost control of not only silk production, security, and naming rights, but even access to his own charges, he is scrabbling for a place in the business to keep from being pushed out.
Reaching out to his contacts, Alferron found himself talking about his wares to a fellow gambler from the Gilded Mirror who he’s known for a while and, for once, looks to be in luck.
A friend of a friend is a major potential buyer in the market for spider silk? One who has the status to stand up to threats from the Aeschiran houses without fear? A contact all of his own that his business partners can't hope to take from him?
It almost sounds too good to be true.
Maybe he should bring some friends to the meet up? Just in case.
