Dear Pria,
I have arrived on the shores of Kantas, and this letter will hopefully find you by way of the same ship.
It was very strange to not have responsibilities while we were underway. I did help out a bit in the rougher waters, and was able to spar with some of the officers. On calm days I was able to do some studying on deck. The captain kindly taught me the basics of navigation at sea, and I might look into learning more to supplement my mapmaking.
I know you heard that this region has much need for adventurers, and I’ve heard that there is a fort further west that caters to them, so I’ll make my way there and see what I can learn. They call the town I’m in Port Ffirst. It is very small compared to any port I’ve been in before. I’m sure I can find work here if adventuring groups don’t want to take on a stranger, and will likely still have more time to read than I did on the road. I’ll write again when I’m settled.
