Queen Merla, the Sun-Blessed likes this

Yinmaris walks up the stairs to his home, not with the usual post-adventure exhaustion but with a pep in his step. Walking into the apartment then into his room, humming the music he’d often hear back at the Court of Harmony when Queen Merla walked the halls. It was nice feeling the old vibes once again, even if dulled by Merla’s slumber. And it was lovely seeing the old tentsite outside the Temple evolve into a village, with a beautifully crafted statue of Ulorian created by the ever-radiant Raine Carroway. It was a blessing, Raine being a fellow warlock of Queen Merla, Yin wouldn’t be where he was without her. Or Mittens and Calla despite their differences at the site of Her Majesty’s ascendence. Taking off his armour and weapons, he unclips the reliquary. Placing on a stand he bought for his desk, opening it and removing the silk fabric with the new golden thread addition.
Spend it in wartime, and save up in peace,
love will be all that you need.
The words in Sylvan he’d first heard uttered by Corellon themselves now with even more significance now he knows it came from Calla especially with them now part of the artifact. He was starting to get where she was coming from. Looking back down at the silk he smiles.
“Champion of Harmony, lets fucking go.”

Your Majesty,
I hope this letter finds you well. I thought I’d write this leter for quite an auspicious adventure that occurred recently. You probably have been told about it at this point but I have been given a new title by Corellon, The Champion of Harmony. It is quite the tale so I thought I’d tell you all about it.
Firstly as you know I’ve had quite a few adventures that had some significant involvement with Corellon of late. A two nights ago I had a vision as I had when at Florian’s Jade Circle but with a different image, someone running through a forest that was changing constantly through The seasons, I Felt it was a call to action to take my oaths finally. Naturally I thought of the Temple at the Court of Harmony so chose to go. I brought Raine, Mittens, Fern and we also brought along Calla who we bumped into on the way to the Portal Plaza. We arrived near the Temple where we saw a growing village where the old tentsite used to be. It was truly beautiful seeing the Court growing in realtime, I’m sure you’ll see it soon and just so you know the rather spectacular statue by the river was created by Raine. It is a beautiful piece of art which I understand was a thank you to Ulorian for helping bring back some vibes as you rest.
As we entered the Temple it has come into a new life, now filled with visitors and acolytes of various gods. Mostly of Corellon but also gods that are tied to the Feywild. There is a new growing mural, telling stories of those who live in the Court. I think it is beautiful seeing living history in the making, shch I have no doubt will continue to grow as you rest and after you awaken. At the Temple we were greeted by the usual group of archealogists and archivists including Artholos. Additionally we were met by Suvi who knew what was going on it seems, as she often does. Also once we got to the water puzzle room we were met by Ceres, the Second Cantor. Suvi led us to the cathedral-looking room dedicated to Corellon and the seasons with the sarcophagi of arch-druids.I knelt down holding the silk relic given to me by Corellon to try connecting to them near the center of the room. I made an attempt of a prayer, I may have admittedly been nervous as firstly praying to literally the God of Elves and also I may have had a dash of stage fright with all my friends watching on. It felt good though and I could feel myself going into a trance.
Upon opening my eyes I found myself on a forest path, as I walked along it I came upon a halfling fellow musician trying to light a fire. I came over and gave a hand with some magic and offered him some food and a rest in my tent as I would rest under a tree. After keeping watch and the musician was ready to set off I got up and packed up my tent, letting him know the route back to town after checking a crossroad’s foot traffic. Corellon spoke through him:
Through your acts of mercy, kindness, and forgiveness, kindle the light of hope in the world, beating back despair.
After saying that we said our goodbyes and I set of down a different path that the gentleman, after walking for some time I heard what sounded like laughter which as I got closer sounded like fighting. I naturally ran towards the sound in case some folk were in danger, which was the right instinct as I saw a family with what looked like all their belongings on a cart. Possibly for a move but I’m not too sure. As I jumped into the fight against a rather amorphous foe, it kept changing to a series of different humanoids and creatures with ill intent.
I used my Cloak of Corellon spell which seemed amped up in that moment to protect the family as I fought the creature(s?). With some solid hits enhanced by some smites including one of your gifted smites the enemy dissipated, and as with last time the family turned to me and spoke with the same voice. I knew the voice was Corellons from my time helping Calla recently where they spoke through me to speak to her due to her audacity. I’ll tell you more about Calla when I know more once you are awake.
Where there is good, beauty, love, and laughter in the world, stand against the wickedness that would swallow it. Where life flourishes, stand against the forces that would render it barren.
As the family headed to the same village as the fellow musician I went along my merry way. Along the path further a biting wintery cold came upon me, and across from me I saw the me I was before you. Without hope or belief in self, having been ground to dust by my family and Lucan. It was a powerful moment seeing who I was back then, admittedly the issues caused by my family are still there but I am working on healing and this trial helped as I told the old me that I believed in him, that I believed in me which as it turned out was what Corellon was wanting I think. As my previous me said to me.
Delight in song and laughter, in beauty and art. If you allow the light to die in your own heart, you can’t preserve it in the world.
After this beautiful retrospective I walked further to see an amazing tower, as I walked in I saw a radiant display of perfect roses, two chairs and by far most importantly Corellon themselves who was waiting for me.
We had a lovely conversation and they called me Yin which was so nice (yes I’m blushing), of course I mentioned you because alongside my adventuring friends you have had the greatest impact in my journey and my life. I did mention Calla and Corellon did call her audacious which I can attest to, as I first saw Corellon they were talking out loud in Sylvan.
No God, no lord, no throne,
will ever hold your heart as close as their own.
No pact, no promise, can ever be made,
that cannot be weakened, unsung, betrayed.
No season, no fate, no end,
Met as well by a prayer, than a friend.
It turns out these were words spoken by Calla as I was in the trance among some more words which I feel are quite telling but that feels like something I’ll put later in this letter but you’ll understand when we get there I am sure. After the lovely chat Corellon asked me if I would be a glorious beacon for all who live in despair. Letting the light of my joy and courage shine forth in all my deeds. I naturally said yes and woke up. As I woke up I found that the silken gift from Corellon was changed, now with a golden trim that spelled out the following:
Spend it in wartime, and save up in peace,
love will be all that you need.
Words to live by I think but with the words leave an aftertaste of conflict considering my current feelings towards Calla at this moment. Again I feel it best to discuss this in person and this part is more than tea but I’m still working on figuring out Calla due to things she has said of late. Anyway once I got up I heard Corellon name me their Champion of Harmony, naturally my reaction was ecstatic at this. It felt right, also I think I may be the first paladin to have taken their oaths in the Temple since it rose from the ground. It has been quite the journey but I am happy to say I’ve had the best possible patron watching over me.
