Nadine sees a name she recognises up on the boards
"Adventurers of the Dawnlands? Kantas? Whatever you call yourselves. I require your assistance with a delicate matter. As you are unlikely to know my noble house has long been intertwined with the fate of a certain lupine creature. It has come to my attention recently that my relative Lucretia has come across some of its... other descendants in her recent expeditions and it is unlikely that this is the first time she has dallied with them if that dead bastard of hers is anything to go by. She cannot be allowed to make allies amongst them, however should you be able to convince them away from her cause and perhaps to more... correct ends then I would be willing to reward you greatly.

Nadine goes home and at the end of the day begins to outline what she thinks will make a great spooky children's story
Nadine has no kids of her own but has necies and nephews and grand nieces and nephews
Working titles : Nanny Nadines Adventures while adventuring
Can be a tactile picture book ideas :make Nanny fluffy on every page? Use fabric I have to remind the little ones of the bag and coat , make the magic sword foil , make the dragon scaly and the wolf furry and the wolf sword magic
OUTLINE
the note sticks to the boards , panels of night and day
each following day a different silhouette is by the board
next page , a young boy with a magic sword , a noble with a wyvern and an old lady harengon arrive
then a magical dark carriage flies in and whisks them away
inside is artur von wald , he says he's the rightful heir to the von wald estate
nadine met the last Duke( mansion in the mist/session mike), is this his brother ?
no they're more distant relatives , more von walds are waking up
Last time nadine met a von wald they said the family was cursed and a wolf lived in a forest on the grounds was an uncle!!
Very old ancestors and more recent ones are All waking up and want the title of Duke , some people have bowed out but those who remain might be preparing to take moves
Like great aunt lucretia( his great great great great and maybe an additional great ?) has made some deal with the wolves in the forest and the adventures have to persuade them to stop working with her ... all he offers is their lives. And if we succeed we get money and maybe, he offers, his respect .
He may have indeed done something to upset her , by hurting (killing) her 'bastard' children . But all in all preventing a family war waged with wolves is good for everyone
Arriving on the grounds , artur says all awake family members live in the house especially if they want the title of Duke, no matter how awkward that must be.
Going into the dark shadow fell woods
We meet a scout wolf who is very large and will take us to the pack leader
The leader is an even bigger sabertooth wolf , with a sword strapped to him
The noble asks if there is an official meeting place
The wolf is happy with the glade and if we want to drink the stream is close and clear
The party uses hands or cups to drink a little
The young man sees the wolf leader cares for his pack
The noble talks of strategy and benefit to not be involved with aunt
The wolf leader agrees to be neutral unless provoked or harmed , since they have had an ancient fued with the von walds and their cursed type
The von wald curse comes from that their god , the white wolf, was slain
They would really like to Finnish what the curse started
The young man bonds with the wolf over having a sword with a name , the boys sword is called avarice , nadine asks if the sword is also magical and the young man said his was earlier
The wolf says the sword has a name , is a bone sword heirloom and divine gifted by their dead wolf god , its blade is magically sharp and still has divine magic
They wonder if the wolf is lonely and he says he is , his mate passed away
Nadine shows Forests(late partners) watch
The noble says to not talk about it too much more not to turn the wolf on us
The group leave the forest
The other two may know his mate died in an adventuring incident ( a wolf child of lucretia - wolfs being odd for the von wald who are more pale and timeless , and sleep very long )
They return to the edge of the estate
Artur gives the money
Nadine gives him letters for Willhelm and Johannes , Artur looks pityingly and takes the letter
And sends everyone off again in the magical carriage
