“You better finish up eating soon Jer, you’re doing Beets’ delievery run after breakfast.”
“What?! Why?”
“Because she’s still still sleeping-And no one is waking her up!-Got it?”
“I can’t believe she’s not woken even up for breakfast, I mean you all love my pancakes, you always leave your plates clean.”
“Eeehh, yep-th-they’re so um..H-hearty!”
“Don’t you mean-Hardy! I nearly cracked a molar on one the other week!”
“Shut up Jer, or I won’t hide yours in the parcel anymore.”
“Beets still too stuffed.”
“Yeah true that Axel. Good job we were able to throw together a little bed down here for her. She was much too heavy for even me to heave upstairs to her hammock without waking her.”
Didn’t her friend Glint say when he turned her into a Red Dragon at the end of that Flame Bowl birthday-bout she ate about two big feasting-buffet tables worth of food on her own?”
“Haha yeah. Sounds like she had a good time.”
“Man she’s so lucky. How I’d give to scoff down spicy-buffet right about now! BBQ ribs, hot & spicy sticky chicken wings! I wonder though, did the she ate food just turn ash when it hit her dragon gut? Maybe thats why she could eat so much! Jeez, I wonder how hot it inside one of those lizard-tongues!”
“Well pretty spicy I’d imagine Jer. It got hot enough being up close and personal close with those Githyanki dragons. Still, nothing could be much hotter than fighting above literal pools of boiling hot bubbling lava like she and her friends were though! I just can't believe how quickly she’s healing from her fight-burns.”
“Beets eat lots. Convert food to energy. Beets body use energy to heal."
“Mhm, informative as always Axel, and with the rate Beets goes, I reckon she’ll probably be up and flittin’about just after lunch.
"Just enough time for me to perfect my new 'Scolding-Magma' Chilli recipe then. Now...Who wants to be my taste tester?
