“Mh?”
“Why is your mouth all red? You didn’t go biting into one of Jorious’ berry crossovers fresh out of the oven again did you?”
“Hm, oh no Diana! It was actually a big flaming turkey on that job yesterday! Fee-nixes I think they were called? Took one down in one big chomp! Wait! D-did you say Jorvious has baked berry crossovers?!”
“Beets-tell me about job as we walk, then breakfast.”
“Oh. Well we were just helping a tribe of centaurs- the big horse legged folk and the dirt-kind genashi in Arva-some part of The Bad Lands with a bunch of fire elementals-in bird form-that were keeping their herds of mammoths from getting near any watering holes.”
“Oh okay, sounds straight forward enough I guess. Did it turn out alright?”
“Well, I thought I was gonna come a buggin’cropper at first as everybody was running everywhere, but turns out my morning all body workouts I got set by Kavel have kept my legs in pretty good flit so I kept pace with everyone pretty well.”
“Well that’s good to hear. And about the eles?”
“Oh! Well we pulverised them. Then when we got near the water shrine it was all frozen over so we had to smash all the ice up till the mammoths could drink.”
“Speaking of ice, we should really get some ice for your mouth. You know, I think Casillia was whipping up some new sorbets yesterday when I was picking up my delivery run.”
“Oh don’t worry I chomped down on loads of that shrines’ ice yesterday. But I wouldn’t say no to a morning sorbet. Long as it’s not got any sorbet elementals in it like that ice.”
“Beets, you pick some of the weirdest jobs you know.”
“Oh I know…But thats what makes’em fun!”
