From the records of Quenanthri Koehlanna, Chronicler of Port Ffirst.
Notes of a conversation with a barbarian noble named Tormahan, hastily recounted to Chronicler before Tormahan left Port Ffirst in a hurry, muttering something about spiders...
Tormahan, Zeenah, Quick White Paw, Wenton, Crumblesnout and Keriss were employed by Jill Graben to investigate some land where she hoped to build a farm. Her workers had been attacked by unknown furry humanoids in a nearby forest.
The party investigated, discovered the attackers were Gnolls and defeated a group in battle. They questioned a survivor and discovered there was a Gnoll camp nearby. The party went to the camp and spoke to the Gnoll leader. Tormahan challenged him and lost the fight, suffering serious injuries but surviving. The Gnoll leader revealed they were looking for something in an old ruin but were unable to defeat the creature living there. The party agreed to fight the creature with the Gnoll leader’s help, if the Gnolls agreed to leave the area afterwards. The Gnolls agreed. The party and Gnoll leader traveled to the ruin and engaged the creature. It was a half elf, half spider monster! The party eventually bested it but at a terrible cost. Wenton and Paw were slain!
The Gnoll leader offered to help bring Paw back from the dead, with the help of a Gnoll shaman. The party travelled to the camp where the Shaman lived and made another deal. In exchange for bringing Paw back from the dead the party would carry out a task for the shaman at some point in the future. The party agreed and Paw was revived!
The party travelled back to Port Ffirst and received their reward from Jill Graben. Following these events Jill was able to continue her assessments of the land and has started constructing her new farm.
Other notes: The Gnolls worship a terrible god called Yeenoghu.
