The word on the street is that he's once more trying to find out the mystery behind the Strait of Sorrows, an inexplicably tumultuous narrow passageway in the middle of two islands. The current way to access Port Ffirst from the Sword Coast requires extremely capable sailors that can brave an unnecessarily shallow and rocky strip of water to the West of the Strait of Sorrows. If the strait was braved... the journey would be much easier.
