It is a cold and misty winter morning, the sun barely cresting the horizon, leaking watery grey-blue and stains of purple into the training yard of Fort Ettin. Keros is dutifully running through his training routine, when Wendy the postal worker strides through the open gatehouse, a comically large letterbag thrown effortlessly over her shoulder.
"Keros! Always difficult to track you down, but here you are; now what do we have..., a letter from K'ul Goran..." she says as she pulls the letter out of her bag "...are you from out there?" and she waves vaguely east, before making her apologies and being about her business.

It's been too long! Thank you again for your various good deeds over the last few months, really appreciate you lending a hand and me not having to save the republic all by my lonesome, it gets tiring you know? But when you told me last time about that shield of yours from the Errant Guard weapons vault, I thought I should look into it, I owe you that much. So I pulled a few strings, and it's strange stuff really, usually we keep pretty good records on all items of note, but there was preciously little on this beauty. There is no note on its origin, no recent checkout registrations, the only record I could find is that the shield was retrieved from Var'Hashatt - a village near Nrav'Garat - down near the southern border. Thats it, thats all I got. Hope it helps! Let me know next time you are in Zot'Goran and lets catch up.
