*A few nights after a group including Varis, Taffy, Tugark, Nowhere, Lady Sunday, and Demik fell through a portal into Aurelia’s garden, a drunken-looking Varis, features strangely twitching and grimacing, pulls himself unsteadily onto the Ettin’s main stage, spits on the ground and starts singing a weird, mournful tune in Infernal*

We killed a god today, oh boy.
He was a stupid Xvart who failed the grade,
And though his life was rather sad
Well, I just had to laugh.
We found the portal through
And blew his brains out in his home;
He didn't notice that the times had changed.
A crowd of people stood around –
We’d seen his face before,
And Nowhere was really sure that he was from the House of Hell.
I met a god today, oh boy.
The Daring army had just killed the Xvart.
A crowd of people turned away,
But I just had to laugh
Having read Cyric’s book.
I'd love to turn on you
