Excerpt from Yinmaris' notebook post-adventure:
Well, the Temple keeps bringing more intrigue as per usual. It was good to have my friends with me, they were amazing. Damian is a giant of a man in size and heart, it was nice to see his protective side with Mittens.
Mittens it turns out is a child, I really must do better with this stuff; but hey considering Artolos’ mouse fey assistant at least my friends sort of understood the misunderstanding. Him being a kid explains a lot, but I am concerned with his mental state especially when he said he was alone. It’s good he’s moving in, I’ll just need to set some ground rules and boundaries, not as many as Mother but I keep this place in tip-top condition and I don’t like a mess. By the Seasons, I do sound like Mother don’t I?
Artolos has some sliding skills, I mean he is spry for a centaur of hisage experience. And I finally met the First Cantor, Daisy, wow she is so smart. I mean especially compared to some of the archaeologists, I mean seriously where is the security there. I understand that worshippers want to enter but after all we now know it just seems ridiculous, and that’s not even including Kerrak and the other Unseelie intruders. Maybe their master is Dubh Catha. It fits, there is something dark within the Temple, and he’s a very famous Unseelie. Yet apparently something light dwells within.
It's wild how there was a Corellon cathedral there, makes sense but the temple must be gargantuan. And I had a prophetic vision, it was just showing the path less travelled thing, but still! It feels weirdly comforting to have some connection to a god, even if I’ve only just heard of him just over a month ago at the Temple but it feels right. Maybe that’s what the other worshipping folk outside the temple felt, connection. Also, I made a new friend, his name is Snarlfang the Great. What an honourable crocodile, although I hope the Boggle wasn’t too oily! I hope he can help with Titchwillow; I wish we’d at least tried to go for diplomacy but those are the dice that were cast.
Also this phrase “The Roots Remember” keeps popping up, I want to find out what it means!
Damian and Matches seem to have gotten on real well, I hoped they would, it’s interesting to see Matches has a similar taste to me but at least I only see Damian as a buddy. Matches is my best friend, and I can’t wait for another session at the Fiore Popolare.
Whispered song lyrics from the Temple:
Cast a spell from an old magic book
Moon drops in the curtain of night
Potential ground rules for Mittens and myself:
1. Keep the place tidy.
2. No snooping around each other’s stuff, unless on the event of the disappearance of one of us. Strictly for the purpose of finding the missing buddy. We are adventurers and wild stuff happens.
3. Keep Mitten’s milk in a separate cool area to the food or an area has to be permitted.
4. No damaging property.

Letter from Yinmaris to Queen Queen Merla, the Sun-Blessed :
Your Majesty,
I hope this letter finds you well and thank you for your assistance with the portal back to the Feywild, admittedly Raine did do one of her cute minor panics once she realised who had paid for the portal fare, so many thanks for that as it did make me chuckle a bit.
Before I get to the main reason I write to you, I thought I’d just get something out in the open. I am sure that the First Cantor has possibly mentioned that I have started to wear an amulet of Corellon. It is new for myself, coincidently since learning of them at the Temple I have been learning about them, I’ve felt additional solace since finding some faith and it does illuminate some of my childhood trances. I’m still learning about Corellon, including doing some research at the Daring Academy. I have mostly hidden it under my armour as it’s very new to me, but I will say that this newfound faith of mine did assist with certain things which I shall get to later in this letter.
I write to you with a comprehensive report of how things went at the Temple of Seasons. Firstly, upon arriving at the Temple we saw a worrying number of people waiting outside the Temple. According to Artolos they were worshippers who didn’t know exactly what they were revering, I suspect it may be a combination of the seasons and Corellon. Much like the iconography of the temple. I do find it concerning for security the fact that not only is a group amassing outside but that the researchers were talking about clearing the main chamber for the purpose of allowing people in. Especially since the Unseelie fey infiltration but there is more concerning news that I’m sure Daisy has told you, but I wish to do this chronologically.
I’ve found new things through what I call feeling a vibe, it’s relatively new for the last week since I’ve come to understand the promise, the one I made to you when we first met and feeling true belief in it. There were some odd things I found when I did this the first time. The place is hallowed mostly but the defaced mural felt desecrated. Also, two things of note before entering the main chamber down the slide. Firstly, there seems to be a satyr figure in a relief that seems to be important before even entering the main chamber but I can’t figure out what it means as of yet, it had some writing that was comprehensible in ancient Sylvan (I shall write it in both the original language and in the Common tongue as there may be a clue in translating it): Open in the name of She Whose Song Embraces the Season’s…
The rest was weathered away beyond readability. there is a phrase written in a relief nearby that keeps coming up “The Roots Remember”.
We went to work looking for the silver key, thanks to the strength of Damian it was very easy. We found a pixie named Basil, that seems relatively innocent just traumatised from fending off rats with a toothpick sized spear. We found two tunnels, the first was dug into a wall and seemed to not be part of the temple’s original design.
The second and the one we went down first was more of a corridor that led to two paths with a riddle that went something like “The path of the faithful is the one less travelled” 3 went one way and 4 went the other. Naturally the smaller group were the first to find the path of the faithful as it were.
The larger group including myself found a chamber with a mural of a druid priest praying in front of an altar. After a while to try figuring out what to do next I went to the same position as priest and focussed on the amulet I’m wearing. I then had a vision of the riddle and realised what it meant and hurried to the other group. We arrived in a cathedral dedicated to Corellon but also it was a crypt of 8 druids of different seasons. 2 druids for each season it seems.
Additionally at the centre of the cathedral was a familiar two-part lock, as you may have guessed it was like the prison door. Silver and gold. It clearly requires both keys to open. I suspect the reason for two keys is the idea of extra security, it’s easy enough to acquire one key from someone but much harder to find the second to open the lock.
I do think it was no coincidence the Temple appeared in the Court of Harmony’s land, as it seems to have a lot of imagery of balance of the seasons or harmony. Anyway we went down the other tunnel, arriving at a hag’s hut, Damian went for an aggressive approach with a Granny Titchwillow, which was probably right all things considered. I had a bad feeling from her with my new sense. She was a dangerous foe, but we defeated her thanks to her focussing on Damian. Granted he’s Damian and he has a big personality.
In the process her hut burned down, and she exclaimed “The Roots Remember” and a name that is of particular interest. Especially with the Unseelie connection, Dubh Catha. The Fey who betrayed a Seelie Queen and was cast down to becoming Unseelie. I’m sure you know the story already, but it is very concerning considering all the talk of something dark within the Temple. The hag did escape but Daisy is aware of this.
It does feel odd that two supposed stories of the Feywilds have shown up so close to each other. The Wild Hunt and Dubh Catha, especially with the new revelation to me that the Horn of the Hunt was in the Temple and that adventurers would be a series of choice words I wish not to say in my letter gave the Horn to the Wild Hunt. But it could be linked.
We delved further as there was a deeper tunnel and came across a swampy area, it was covered in oil and had huge deer like creatures that I don’t know. The most important figure there was a charming crocodile fey called Snarlfang the Great. He made an offer, that for one of his wishes that he would give something that we wished for. He gave us 3 options, we chose one to deal with a troublesome Boggle that messed with his swamp. But first we had to use the dial, it was broken but Damian being a very muscular warrior that could smith fixed it with style. We set the swamp to the right season to find the Boggle. We dealt with it amazingly efficiently, literally chasing it into the jaws of Snarlfang, who was sneaky for a creature his size. On a wish fulfilled he presented the key within his mouth for someone to take. As a deal is a deal especially in the Feywilds I took the key at a respectable pace to which he said was brave, which was fair considering how he chowed down on the Boggle but I retorted that a deal is a deal. I think he and I may be friends now, we’ll see.
I also have acquired an item that could help literally guard against the Dark, a globe called a Night Light. On top of emitting a soft torch light while hovering with a command word it can additionally emit a bright light for an hour that can dispel magical darkness.
An important thing to note that I forgot to mention earlier. I heard some song lyrics as I felt the vibe in the beginning of the temple, Raine seemed to know about the song but didn’t have any of the lyrics with her. They seemed new so here they are as follows:
Cast a spell from an old magic book
Moon drops in the curtain of night
I hope this helps and I have given the silver key to Daisy. I assume it will be taken to a secure site, I felt it right to give it to the First Cantor specifically as I feel the researcher’s curiosity is outpacing their self-preservation. Possibly the reason they want the worshippers to come in is to find out what they are drawn to worship, which is something that intrigues me, but it is a clear security risk.
I know in your letter you said you wish you could have met the group I brought and myself but know your presence was felt and appreciated.
May our Song help bring Harmony to this troubled world.
Your Humble Songbearer,
Yinmaris Iathrana

Letter from Yinmaris to First Cantor Daisy:
Dear Daisy,
It was good to finally meet you, First Cantor. I was honoured to have someone of your calibre escort my friends and myself to the main chamber of the temple, it’s safe to say that our visit to the temple was fruitful if concerning regarding some of the discoveries found within. That does include how Artolos goes down the slide, it was a truly artful display of athleticism!
I hope the researchers aren’t giving you too much trouble right now. I can tell you have your hands full there as my friend Dámian mentioned the security risk from some of the researchers’ actions and I share with you many of your own concerns regarding the prisoners, the newly amassing crowds and Dubh Catha’s mention from a hag.
Thank you for your understanding of my newer faith in Corellon, I know it isn’t common back home, but it is something that gives me solace. I will always remain wholly loyal to her Majesty and I appreciated that you understood that fact.
If additional assistance is needed at all please don’t hesitate to get in contact, I’ll see what I can do on my end to help.
Sincerely,
Yinmaris Iathrana

Letter from Yinmaris to his mother, Lady Naivara Iathrana:
Dearest Mother,
I hope this letter reaches you, father, and sister well. I wished to write to let you know how I am doing. I have been adventuring in service of Queen Merla, recently I have gone to the Court of Sorcery for a particular hunt of a creature terrorising fey of all courts that you may have heard of. I have also been assisting with the excavation of the Temple of Seasons. I hope you are doing well considering everything I’ve heard of the Wild Hunt I do worry for the family in such worrying times.
I am currently under the tutelage of a fencer from the Summer Court who has travelled to the Material Plane, you may have heard of her, Ildimiir Mishrak. Training has gone well and I am quite proficient at fighting with a rapier, it has served me well and I am helping the Iathrana name as you have; Through my deeds and valour. I believe Leshanna has possibly informed you of a scar I have acquired through my deeds, it is true that I have a scar on my left shoulder from a fight against a demon. I am alright and it has taught me to have more restraint, which I know you tried teaching me but now it has been taken to heart. When I am able I shall come visit home but as of right now my duties at the Court of Harmony must come first. Especially at such trying times.
I also wish to tell you that I did not have any intention of upstaging Leshanna during the Saliysuli Veránal, in fact if not for a mishap with a sword from one of sister’s compatriots that lead to a painful looking injury I am sure it would have been a very close competition.
If you or any other members of family wish to come visit me in the Material Plane I would be more than happy to host, I currently reside in the city of Daring Heights and I would love to show you all the sights.
Sincerely,
Yinmaris

Letter from Yinmaris to Avra, Yin’s former governess:
To my Dearest Avra,
I hope all is well, I write to you to let you know how I am doing and to thank you for all you have done for me. I am currently a working adventurer at the behest of Queen Merla and I’m doing very well, I live in Daring Heights which is a hub of activity in the Dawnlands.
I have been keeping up on flute practice and in fact I have been using the flute you gifted me to not only help protect people using bardic magic but also to perform in front of a audience. If you wish to come visit I would be happy to take you to some performances at the Feylight Gardens Theatre and to the FiorePopolare for the best drinks in all the land. In fact the drinks are so good that one of Leona’s creations won the approval of Queen Titania herself during the Saliysuli Veránal.
Please send my regards to Zorius, I do miss you both and I can’t wait to come home. Also please tell Zorius that the invitation to visit the Dawnlands do extend to him as well..
Your Ever-Grateful Student.
Sincerely,
Yinmaris Iathrana
