Years ago, in Baldur's Gate, "Rustle" took up with a group of ruffians who showed him how to get what he wants through sneakiness rather than direct confrontation. One thief in particular, Oswulf, saw something special in Rustle and taught him several useful tricks.
Time passes and on their last job (now some months prior as Rustle has laid-low in the re-established Daring Heights for some time) Oswulf and Rustle were double-crossed by Eargod, their heist partner, which landed Oswulf in a grim prison, and Rustle just escaping by the edge of his beak to make his way here to Daring Heights.
