A Dwarf with worn clothes and a worn face, is sitting in the Ettin, smoking a long stemmed pipe. Most of the patrons are avoiding him due to the overwhelming smell of fish that hangs around him. One hardy drinker (who probably lost his sense of smell a long time ago) is chatting to him.
"So, the weirdest thing", the Dwarf can be overheard saying, "I was out on the boat yesterday, just a cuppla miles off the port, when suddenly all these dead squid and octopus start floating up to the surface. Like, hundreds of them..... and they were half rotted too, the smell was awful... and I know a bad smell when I see's it, I share a boat with Nigel. Anyway, someone needs to find out whats going on there."
