Any good scientist knows that there is only one way to conduct experiments:
1. Make an observation
2. State a hypothesis
3. Test the hypothesis
4. Make a conclusion
Nobody has called Mey Huffadin a good scientist. Mr. Ruffadin will concede, on occasion, that she has moments of brilliance. Notjax mainly tries to keep out of the way of her workbench - spinning saws and wooden limbs do not mix.
No, Mey Huffadin belongs firmly in the camp of "throw it out back if it ain't working and see if the magic seeps into the ground and mutates the local flora into red, hungry, shambling masses of vines and roots."
Luckily, Mr. Ruffadin is a good scientist.
