The Olem-Murnelvar Trading Company (OMTC) has watched the political developments in K'ul Goran with increasing concern, especially since their latest expansion plan has seen major investments committed to developing the K'ul Goranian market; a warehouse and commercial teleportation circle have been established, and the upcoming stockholders' meeting scheduled for Shieldmeet would be an exceedingly awkward affair if this investment would have to be written off, if not adequately safeguarded.
Heret Velnnarul, one of the Company's two Conductors and an adventurer in his spare time, is not about to let that happen. A group of mercenaries is to be hired (confidentiality is expected) and "robust negotiations" can be expected to ensure the OMTC's operations near Jarvenol are secured. This is deep Optimates territory - pragmatic agreements will be called for. One may not like the hands that need shaking, but profits dont generate themselves.
