Lessons from goblin engineering:
The goblins of the Surk clan are terrible at designing challenges. Having experienced their “games” and “rewards”, both are passing diversions. Bait-and-switch, drop-blades, I’m sad to report a lack of real development from historical sources. All cut through with relative ease. Especially with Zola’s blade to hand.
Their papercraft, by contrast, is remarkable.
While the more established adventurers of the Dawnlands seemed awfully concerned about monographed rocks and an apparently sinister figure who’s been helping Urk and his family (Novan?) I took a little extra time in the Witching Court to learn their construction techniques. Scale models are expensive and awkward to make, but I can see a ready adaption between the sheer ambition of goblin paper folding and the treasured pop-up books of my youth. In trade, I taught them a little about the architecture of mazes.
I’m sure that’ll be fine.
