Dear Merla,
Have you ever been to the Court of Sorcery?
To call it magical is like saying the Fey are mercurial — something so obvious it doesn’t need to be stated. But when I say it is magical I mean in a way I’ve never seen before. There was a place there, sort of like a room, that showed… representations? Icons? Depictions? I’m not sure what you’d call it, but something like that, of each of the courts. Yours was there, as were the other seasonal courts. Witching and Twilight too. I couldn’t say for certain how many courts there were but certainly more than I thought there were!
The reason we were there was because my friend, Zola (yes, that friend), received an invitation from The Coven of Sorcery. Turns out she wants the ability to make fey bargains, much like her mother’s, the Hags of Haspar Knoll. Have you met them? They are not quite what I expected a coven of hags to be like… but I think that’s because we were there at Zola’s invitation. Don’t worry, the tea and biscuits we were given were just restorative. But anyway, Zola wasn’t going to just be given the ability to make a fey deal right away by the Coven. She has to work for it apparently.
I’m not sure what this will mean for her. Gwenael overheard her speaking about needing a cause, a ‘crusade’ as it were to find her purpose. That word kind of concerns me, but I don’t know how to be there to help. Or if I even should. Not because of feelings for her but rather…
The last time I tried to help I fucked up (heh), badly. I don’t know if I can do it any better this time. Some powers that be seem to think I can do it, but I also don’t want to be overbearing, ya know? It’s hard… not knowing what’s the right amount of help to offer and what isn’t.
Any advice you have on the matter might help me. You’re pretty good at that kind of thing.
Anyways, I’ve got some celestial lessons to get to. Hope you’re well and not staying too busy, fey queen that you are.
