One evening, Egg returns to their bed and spots a tiny speck of cherry blossom pink paper underneath their pillow. Folded into a tiny Origami rabbit is a small note that reads: Dear Egg,
I understand you saved really hard for a new bow.
I wish to make that dream come true and have recently come into possession of such a thing.
I struggle however to find really good arrows and hear that yours are the best around.
Would you be willing to trade me 3 of your very best made ones for the bow?
If yes, please leave them at the foot of your bed when you go to sleep tonight and magic will do the rest. It is signed: Your Fairy GodmotherEgg - [Redacted] is willing to part with the +1 Longbow for 3 arrows. She will try her very best to maintain the secrecy and wonder and make the trade in the night if egg leaves his arrows as requested.

Egg goes through several phases of astonishment and delight, and when he's recovered he spends the whole day making arrows, trying to make them better and better. When eventually the Refuge staff come round to give the final call for bed-time and lights-out, he puts the three best ones, fletched with his own feathers (which he collects when he sheds them), at the end of his bed. He sternly warns the other kids in the dormitory that the arrows are very special and not to be interfered with under any circumstances.
He tries to stay awake and listen for the magic but is too tired from making arrows and falls quickly to sleep.

Becoming invisible, [Redacted] floats quietly through the dorm room. (+15 to stealth, reliable talent and ability to add psionic dice lead me to believe I am ok assuming success).
Gently placing the bow at the foot of the bed, she listens to little egg's quiet breathing for a second before smiling, picking up her arrows and stashing them safely in her bag.
She retrieves a tiny origami star made of a lilac paper and rests it gently atop the bow. Inside simply reads:
'Do good, little one'
