Raine enters the Feylight Garden Theatre the same as she does any other day. Except today her teacher, mentor, and manager for the theatre, Tasseloff Bitterberry the Bold — or Tassel for short — is waiting for her just inside the lobby.
“Good afternoon! I have something important to give you.” She visibly perks up. “I’ve been asked to send my best pupil to help the fey over in the Court of Harmony with that mysterious Temple of theirs.” She waits with bated breath while Tassel tries not to smile. “Are you up to the task, Little Rey?”
Raine stands in stunned silence for a moment, digesting what Tassel just threw at her. Was she actually his best pupil? Is she actually starting to be recognised? Is that a good thing? After a moment of silence she replies. “Yes of course whatever The Harmony requires! I’ll do my best to help. Hopefully we can unlock more of the Temple’s secrets.”
He grins, eyes sparkling. “I thought you might be. Here.” Tassel hands her an envelope with her name on it. “Gather your friends and meet the Master of Revelries in Portal Plaza in one hour.”
Raine stares at the letter in disbelief — at her name on it. Then she startles herself into action, taking several panicked steps in every direction before rushing out of the theatre, ready and eager to return to that mysterious Temple.
