The sides have been drawn, the armies mustered, fortresses risen and the ale has been quaffed so now it is time for the battle for Daring! The battle is to be set outside the town of daring. Players win! If the players make a significant amount of the invading army to flee the remainder of the enemy forces would be suggest to moral checks and also flee resulting in a player win! Enemy win! Will the enemy push past the forces and on to the town, if 10 units make it past the fortress and the armies to Daring heights the players lose. We will be using the US Battlesystem 5e rules for this session. players can choose to either take charge of premade captains within the armies/units or take charge of units themselves and use their own charisma to inspire and rally the troops. The rules that will be used, please make yourself familiar with these rules if you want to join as its going to be a lot to get through on the night! Rules Here: media.wizards.com/2015/downloads/dnd/UA_Battlesystem.pdfif anyone has some counters or miniatures that can represent different units of troops please bring them along!

Yes, This is one of the sessions for the orc battle - I'm going to run one and Matt's running the other. I'll put mine up now for clarity.

As a Paladin of Trithereon my place is leading the people against tyrannical oppressors, Dvaergar will gladly lead troops into the frey! (also by level 5 I get some really good group boosting abilities so definitely want to try them out!)

mattwilkin and andycd just a thought, but have the Erina, the Grungs and the Boli's been approached for their help again? And how about Port First?

the erina have sent 50 skirmishers lead which can be lead by someone or a hero from daring. the Grungs and the Boli's will defend the port area if it comes to it but will not join the battle. The port its self has a very small town guard presence.

As a note: the Pegasi are Ka'sam's contribution.
Oh, and you read that right. 1,000 Xvarts. Not 300. Military intelligence, am I right?

So lots more than the twilight. Thank God no giants though Is there a plan B if we lose. Run through the portal and destroy it from the Other side? May be we can set up some explosives at the portal?

And remember the dudes from Merricks farm and Grey Tree who will fight (although I'm assuming they are included already?)

The current plan is for the civilian population of Daring Heights are going to retreat back through the portal and make camp on the Faerun side. Much of the City Guard and perhaps also the civilian fighters like from Grey Tree will be needed to make sure the civilians aren't ambushed by monsters in Faerun. Some might stay behind though.
