[DTA 15/01/23] Cirque du Fight Club

After an unusually peaceful fortnight, Ana feels the need to release her inner tension, and head down to the pits again to help her to manage her Rage, now she's back in Port Ffirst.

Some say this nimble kenku is employed by some local criminal gang to test the mettle of the town’s fighting folk in the fight-pits. Others say they just fight to make enough money to get through the day. But everyone agrees their fists are best avoided.

Anåbæl and Catcall put on a truly memorable display for the crowd.

The fight was almost as impressive for the level of gymnastics employed, as it was for the fighting itself. Ana pushed her dynamic movement to the absolute limit and the Kenku nearly the same, both achieving a speed and grace of movement more comparable with that of an expert tumbler. Ana was reminded somewhat of her surprisingly strong performance on the trapeze at the Winter Fair.

Although the force of Catcall's blows would have felled a lesser opponent, they inevitably fell behind Ana's attack - with arms kept strong in the forge, and eagerness from having been coiled tight like a spring (after nothing to fight for 2 weeks).

Despite this, (and much to the crowd's delight), the fight still wasn't over quickly. The joy of battle stretched out over a full 5 rounds, until the Kenku finally conceded defeat to their much larger competitor.

Ana congratulates her opponent all the same, healing them up and offering to buy them a drink and something to eat (although it seems like plenty in the crowd are offering to do the same!).
