Daisy Demik / Code jays526 Dvärgar / Gara Varis/G'Lorth/Sundilar andycd Nuno (Rholor) I was washing my tunic the other day - the fancy red one with gold brocade and purple flowers - and I found a scrap of parchment in one of the pockets. I must have grabbed it from the cave as we left; totally forgot about it. Think it relates to the ruby-jailed lady, and how we break her out: Of all things scared, purity is key.
Would one try and destroy it?
Oh how distraught the flame would be.
Through trials and tribulations have our people been
So that no questions are raised nor any alarm.
For to keep a daughter safe from harm
It is best to seal one away to keep our lands green.
If a time comes when the spell must be broken
Think twice and be sure you want this woken.
If you mind is set and you’re ready for what you’ll get,
Weave this story with arcane power -
Push through and feed the fire;
Strengthen your will and do not cower,
Step in and be one with the pyre.
No idea what it means! Hope we don't have to use a magical fire to set it alight and then jump in!

I'm not entirely convinced we should release her, but if we do we may win ourselves a strong ally against the Orc horde.

Nowhere - I imagine you're a dab hand at riddles. Should be child's play for a mind like yours. We found a tiny Eladrin lady trapped in this ruby with the accompanying riddle. We think an Archfey is wrapped up in this. What harm can we do by simply releasing her....

Due to the mess that the scheduling of sessions has been post-war and my limited availability the next two months, this will most likely need to be postponed for a while. People that were involved in this: @jamiesd , Varis/G'Lorth/Sundilar , Daisy , Barden [Ollie] , Dvärgar / Gara , Demik / Code , etc. Whenever we schedule this, would you like to turn the final sessions into a mini-campaign? (let's say 3 weeks = 3 sessions?) (p.s. @jamiesd , what happened to the necklace upon your departure? Might be slightly relevant ahaha - message me if you don't want to write it here!)

I'm never 100% sure I'm able to go 3 weeks in a row, but I'll try my best.

Rholor finds Varis/G'Lorth/Sundilar in the quarters of the Crimson Fist. "Hello Varis, do you have a minute?" - interrupting a training session midway. "Before he departed, Lachlan left the imprisionement ruby necklace with me for safe keeping. I have been keeping it safe in a place only him and I knew about. I checked on it every three months and yesterday it was gone. He must've briefly returned to Daring and stolen it from the Temple!" - Rholor seems lost in thoughts "He left a troubled man... I am afraid he might do something foolish. Look, I know we don't always see eye to eye but I trust you to do the right thing. I am not sure about what any of this means but that woman must play an important part in this conundrum."

Varis turns away from the training ground, gesturing for Rholor to follow him into the shade of the compound's small forge. The clatter of practise weapons and the grunts of sparring soldiers fades as they step out of the sunlight and into the oven heat of the smithy. Looking at him now, the High Diviner can see dark smudges under the Half Elf's eyes, and his left arm still bears an angry red welt where the Kundari Grell lashed him mere days before.
"I know nothing of Thorne's movements since he left town. I agree he seemed troubled, but then, peaceful nights and clear minds are in short supply in Daring. If you're sure it was him, if you're sure no-one else could have taken the stone, then perhaps Leocanto might know how to find the man. Failing that, I could send some of my soldiers to track him. A few of them were hunters and the like before they came to me."
In the dull red glow of the forge, his face seems leaner than before. Rholor can see the strain of the last year etched into the young man's features.
"As to the stone itself, I have no real interest in the girl. It is what hunts her that I seek. Whatever pursues that ruby is responsible for the darkest of magics. It must not be left to roam free. If our purposes align in this, then you can call on me. I know you find my methods distasteful at times, but you cannot doubt my resolve."
With a curt nod, Varis turns and walks back to the training ground, already calling intruction to his newest recruits.
