[Online] The Profiteers (Levels 3-7) 25/01

To the Council of Daring Heights,

As you are aware, the election for K'ul Goran's senate is now only weeks away, and the situation has only become more complicated since my last report. It appears that in the chaos of the riot at the courthouse, following the inconclusive trial of the accused Vanguard collaborators Cleovera and Antonia Warborn, the two accused managed to slip away, dealing a blow to the people's trust in their institutions, and fanning the flames of dispute between progressive and conservative factions within the populace. The conservative Optimates faction argues that the two Warborns were accused on flimsy pretexts, while the progressive Purists demand harsh justice for the alleged traitors. To make matters worse, there are rumours that Antonia Warborn has begun engaging in underground electioneering and speaking out against the Purists and in particular her brother, Senator Marius Warborn, the leader of the Purist faction and the prime witness against his mother and sister. The manhunt to apprehend the two escapees is receiving full official support, but I have received a private inquiry from Lead Investigator Palaos in Za'Suul whether a group of adventurers proficient in tracking down information and fugitives could be made available to support his investigation. Given the Dawnland's vested interest in the stability of our largest neighbor and oldest ally, I hasten to recommend the Council make no delay in approving such a mission.
