Percival the hyena with a top hat, bowtie and monocle gives Kavel a once over as they puff on a pipe, Stripes next to him with protective paws laid over the javelin.
Percival squints before saying, "Used? If so it was not by the hands of Wren, they have never used this in combat. Very good condition indeed. 1200gp."
Another puff on the pipe.

"No wear and tear? Okay. Good. Erm..." Kavel hestitated, "I like it. I think it could be good for a range option. I do most of my fighting close up, and am not very good at distance - this javelin could make up for it a little. Can I attune to the javelin - under your supervision - to check it is what it is? When done, I would gladly pay 1200gp for it. Would that work for you two?

(After an hour of attuning and Percival making polite conversation, Kavel will find that it is indeed a genuine Javelin of Lightning.)
