Buggin’ heck there was just so much to do! Packing the costumes, folding the drapes, and there were just so many flitting frills everywhere!
I MEAN HOW MANY FRILLY DOLLIES DOES ONE PARTY NEED?!
It was honestly a buggin’relief when Lolli showed up with the others and Annabel and Brandon insisted they’d finish everything off and get it to the theatre on time! If I’d of had to fold one more dolly I think I would have buggin’lost it!
The Feylight theatre was buggin’beautiful! Marto had said when we next got some downtime together, he’d take me to catch one sister’s shows-and of course I’d flow past it many a time on my rooftop explores of Daring. But to see It up close, it was like ever every beautiful bit of nature has been taken and polished to a shine before being worked into the decor of the place-whoa where did that come from?
Anyway, a half elf guy by the name of Tassel gave us a warm welcome, and apologised for the amount of colourful people flittin’ about the place A mixture of performers rehearsing Queen Merlin’s Merla’s new play-Heart of the forest..interestin’title-and a bunch of refugees who’d escaped a dragon attack on the Night Circus. Firstly-NIGHT CIRCUS? Second-DRAGON ATTACK!!? Alright I admit I might have been a bit-tackless-as some call it with my excitement, but I mean a chance-a real buggin’ chance to go toe to with dragons, I can’t help but admit I was a little bugged at missin’it!
After getting a little private tour through the theatre, we got led into the concert hall. Woowie, it was flittin’ impressive-and that was before Lolli added her swan boat!
There was still a lot to be done though, and as jobs were spilt up between us, Pippa and I happily offered to pick up orphans that would be part of the performance-I just buggin’love kids!
I flittin’knew Pippa would be up for a race! And it was soo buggin’close too! If I’d only taken a right instead of a left round those three rooftops I’d’ve beat her! Oh well-next time!
The kids were great, though their guardian Mr Bee was a little flittin’ scary to be honest-but can make a great cup of coffee-despite the lack of sugar! As we made our way back to the theatre with our new flock. One of the kids complimented me on my legs,-such a buggin’sweetie-though I have no idea who that Auntie Urla he mentioned was, or her magic unicorn-Bug, I’d forgotten how much I’d liked the idea of them from Gramp’s stories!
Once back at the theatre everything was going swell. Till she arrived-the sea foamy sea bitch-Ulorian! I didn’t buggin’like the look of them one bit, and that was before they slapped that waiter in the face with a wave-an actual buggin’ wave of water from their hand! Then Merla arrived! Alright yes I really had flittin’ thought her name was Merlin, but I was..honestly a little buggin’distracted looking at Marto when he was telling me about her! Anyway she gave the foamy sea bitch some sass that put them in their place-bug did I like her already!
Soon it was buggin’show time! Pippa did this amazing rollerskatin’trick where she made copies of herself and then shot out flittin’fire works. Lolli then made some of kids fill around in their outfits-which if not very well was still bugging adorable-though I wish I could’ve gone and rammed a cann-noo-paee right up Lorian’s left nostril for sniggering at them!
Then it was my turn. While that beautiful spotty dress Lolli had picked out with me was lovely, soon as I’d seen that smart tux, I just knew what I wanted to bugging do! So with a few alterations, a little late night practice, Beets the Tap-Dancing Beetle was ready to hit the stage.
It’s strange though, as when I made my somersault to land on the back of chair of that watery witch I knew I had timed it wrong. Yet as my foot slipped off the edge of the chair I felt a sudden warm gust, like the breeze from a summer evening lift my wings and help me find find my footing. And I swear I saw Merla smile over at me as I started to dance again…Could’ve of been?
I only caught a glance of Glade’s pretty butterfly performance, I was so buggin’ exhausted, though I managed to gather enough breath to catch the aftermath of Ulorian spluttering after somehow sloshing themselves with their drink from a butterfright!-Were they really that scared of some itty bitty bugs?
Finally it was the turn of the new fancy cat himself Lucky, who spun a tale of a fey queen who gifted all the the good boys and girls with a present..or something like that, I was too busy buggin’laughing at that now soggy sea witch get roped into the performance by the cunning cat haha!
After the show Tassel quickly gave us a quick little U’lore-rian lowdown-ha-backstage. Seems they caused a lot of trouble including a literal poisonous wave of chaos and a lot of people died…I knew hated that watery witch from the moment I saw them. Flittn’ wish I’d known about their bad knee, it would’ve may the perfect springboard back onto the stage.
Anyway, we then all got a chance to have a talk with Merla…She’s really buggin’lovely just like her little brother, and then I danced the rest of the night away with Lolli after teaching her to tap dance- flit girl can move.
Final thing-I found a strange little bag beside me this morning, its really soft and I swear…Yes…It definitely smells kinda like home…And inside it. A strangely shaped piece of..horn?…What could it be from?
