21st of Mirkul
Started the evening strong by landing on my face after a failed attempt to use my Thunder Step spell to try and teleport Ulhar along with me. He was fairly annoyed since my spell also harms those in the area.
In my contemplation I wasn't aware of my surroundings and, as luck would have it, my escapade took place right in front of the Three Headed Dragon. "Are you ok?" came a somewhat familiar voice, and upon looking up I see that it was Dwirhian standing at the balcony. Before I could respond, a worried halfling came out of the Dragon with the exact same question. "I'm fine, replying to both, I'm fine, just... some experiments lead to unfortunate results, but I'm fine." Despite this though, the halfling approached me and offered their healing magic to mend my injuries. To which I thanked them.
In the mean time, Beets dropped and 'grappled' Ulhar while we weren't paying attention. "I GOT ONE OF THEM!" she yelled. Again, in my absent mindedness, I completely ignored what impact my summon, a dragon, would have on a populous currently threatened by an invasion from a force who has an army of dragons. Still, it would be best for Beets to have some experience against a dragon, so I told Ulhar to fly up and have her go a round at dragon wrangling.
"You know, I have a spell for that, so you'll hopefully prevent something like that. Amble also showed up. Guess I'll need to do my dragon riding training outside the city where I won't bother people with it.even though the outsi-
"Useless rambling again..."
When the commotion died down, our attention was drawn to the east by some flashes of light towards a dim yellow strip of light that seemed to be above the clouds. It was moving at a fair speed towards us. Since the announcement of the imminent Gith invasion, we were on edge and immediately assumed the worst. My friends went to try to get Aurelia in the hopes that her expertise in the Arcane can help with this while I hopped on Ulhar and flew straight to the Watch HQ to report the incidents.
"You got laughed at and asked if you were drunk, but useless details, I know -muttering to himself again- Although they weren't laughing once I came back and gave a debriefing." he ends with a smirk.
Upon returning to my friends, I see them flying upwards towards the aurora on giant eagles and upon catching up to them, I can deduce by the absence of Aurelia among them that they weren't successful. We flew until we came up above the clouds, and we could see the aurora much clearer now, but silvery and with what my friends pointed out to be deer walking within it. When asked how to get to them, we were pointed towards an equally silver staircase coming down from the aurora. Me and Beets jumped on the thought of this being the Infinite Staircase, the one we went through with Gerhard. That hypothesis was shutdown when I realized that something so rarely seen that even my Comprehend Languages spell couldn't identify its language would not just suddenly appear above Daring Heights. I know this is Kantas, but still. We decided to finally walk the Staircase until we met a portal and after we checked that it's safe, we stepped through.
The inside was impressive. It seemed to be some sort of large corridor and it felt like we were in a glass chamber floating in space. We could see the vastness of it. We were greeted by the host. They were a herd of deer... celestial deer with antlers filled with what seemed to be stars. Their leader introduced himself as Sir Tyrondras and told us that we were in the Plane of Midnight. It is a plane that exist wherever there is midnight and not just in the physical world. We could see through the portals a glimpse of what seemed to be other realms. This also meant that this entire place will move us outside of Daring Heights
During the introductions, the entire herd suddenly lift their heads, turn towards the back of the corridor and started charging towards it. Trying not to get trampled, we followed them to one of the portals, larger than the rest, the one towards the Astral Plane. Through it we saw something gargantuan approaching us. It was an Astral Dreadnought. And it ripped the portal open. Sir told us that normally, the dreadnought only stopped in front of the portal and then continued its path around it. However, I think it's safe to say that normally, the dreadnought isn't being forced through the portal by the Gith.
We were told to hold it back until the deer were able to close the corridor behind us and collapsing the one we're in to prevent this thing from destroying the Realm of Midnight.
Thankfully, we succeeded in this task, we all got out safe, and the Gith have been stopped from whatever they were doing. Sir was pleasantly surprised with us helping hold back this threat and told us that they will do what they can to stop further Gith who will try to cross realms through the Realm of Midnight.
Derthaad leans one almost asleep head on his left hand. "Less frustration... maybe I'm just too sleepy and can't feel much of it. Why is it so hard to get a good night's sleep?"
The Gith are not pulling punches. The upcoming battle will most probably be war in all its might and horror. We need some allies and we need them now.
Half asleep, Derrthaad folds and seals the letter and have it shipped the next day, and proceeds to try and have a full night's sleep.
Multiple thoughts in his dream, but one stronger than most
Let it out.

Greetings Evira,
I hope the summit of Hollow Spine has grown quieter since our meeting. Unfortunately, I bring bad tidings.
Normally, I don't immediately ask for help from someone I've only briefly met, but we need all the help we can get. We are under threat from the Githyanki forces. Our intelligence has found out that The Dawnlands will be attacked by the end of next month. Two major cities, Kundar and D'Avalon, have already been severely hit by them. We may have a full on war on our hands and we are short on allies at the moment.
While I do understand that it may not impact you at this current time, I have reasons to believe that sooner or later they may learn about the destructive properties of the sunset stone and that they may use it in other
P.S. The Gith have a fair ammount of dragons under their control and, from my companion's recounting, some of the dragons are a lot bigger than Ormund. Thought you should know.
