Snow falls silently on the mighty Bloodwood Tree at the center of the Court of Silence. This lonely exclave of the Realm of Winter festers, like an open wound, within the Summer Lands. The sap drawing pumps stand still, and the weapon smiths work far below capacity - the Bloodwood Tree has fallen into deep hybernation, caught between pain and confusion at having been so suddenly and brutally cut off from it's bond mate, the Amber Duchess.
The Lady of Silence stands atop a giant root, ice-blue eyes surveiling the state of affairs in her quiet realm of perfect order.
"This will not do."
The archfey nods ever so slightly in cold disapproval.
