When Jenna tells you,"Don’t fight the dragons!", it’s probably cause it’s a bad'buggin idea!
Especially when said flittin'dragons are working with an evil cult, and have staked out a once flying city, that was flying, then wasn’t, and now flittin'is…Again!-And thanks too Coll apparently-Who would’ve thought he’d flittin’have it in him so cause so much…chaos? Heh…
Once Jenna had warped our team, consisting of, Rash-Lizard priest, Viscros-human Sorcerer guy, Ascanio-Warrior Kobold, Amble-Wizard Gnome-and yours truly. We got our first view of the fated ‘flying’ city…and... Pecks…so many buggin'pecks, I mean the people living and exploring this city were seriously buff!
After um, admiring the um..incredible sights, we were given the lowdown by an equally buff gnome-scout, Bella Bardinning.
Our Mission: Rescue their Queen Tabaxi, Thundering Herd of Wild Horses, and get her back here asap!-What is it with cats and royalty around here?
I guess they must just be…Purrrfect for the position.
After a quick flight by paper kite-I mean it would’ve been a bit of climb for the others-we landed in the city and got explorin'.
Now I’ll admit, I was a teeny bit buggin'excited at the prospect of ‘potentially’ but not ‘intentionally’ fighting a dragon, that I may have got a bit loud…and got us jumped by a ugly bat like creature, a Burblelan, Vicross called it, that somehow projected a ghostly version itself to attack us-Still buggin’ hurt when it bit me though, ouch!
When then snuck our way into the ‘University’, a funny old name for a ‘palace’ that was all upside on it’s left, stair cases on the ceiling, and big messes just everywhere, I’ll tell ya some royalty are just big buggin'royal slobs.
As we were having a ‘disagreement’ about where we should start looking for the queen, a big buff-and I mean buggin'buff-giant named Margos made an appearance and showed us to the queen.
She was…Beautiful. King Lion may have had the power of fierce kitty, but this feline had all the air and grace of a regal royal cat-if we hadn’t been in a hurry you know I wouldn’t have flittin'passed up change for another royal-rumble!
But Queen Thundering wasn’t ready to just turn tail and flee, least not without an ancient ring of ‘immense’ historic value.
Well a lost ring wouldn’t be too hard to find... in a flittin'enormous ancient city. That have been turned topsy turvy. And totally wasn't buggin'floating hundreds of feet off the ground! Owh, my buggin'brain is still thumb’in from remembering that maze!
As we struggled..well..some of us did..through a side-sided staircase-clearly lead to some kinda kitchen judging by the smooshed mountain of food ahead of us. By complete flittin'luck my eye caught something sparklin’ in the heaped remains of a pie. My oh my, find a ring, did I..in....The pie!
With the ring returned to purr’majesty, we left the palace to make an our triumphant departure….Only to find ourselves surrounded by a swarm of those Bargalins, some tough looking 'warriors', and the shadow of-so so many flittin'-dragons-not far behind…
I’m not ashamed to say….We bugged out! Especially once the Queen got flittin'running!-You’d think someone had poured her out a fresh churn of cream!
The crew all did their part in the get away chase-I even buggin'saved the Queen from an attempted airborne assassination, and got payback on one of those Barga'buggers for buggin'biting me earlier!
There were no time for festivities however as we landed papering triumphantly! The queen was whisked away before even a goodbye pet could be exchanged, and with our reward in hand in the form of some good old fey-style bartin’ we headed home…
I do wonder though…What could have Coll have done to make a whole city up’n’fly?
Guess there’s more to our old buggin'barman that meets the eye…
