It's my first time writing up a session, let's see how it goes.
Demik keeps a journal detailing all his adventures, expeditions, experiments, and research results. So, it's written in-character.

Research log: Kantas, 19th of December
I was awaken today by a strong desire to continue my research efforts in the unexplored regions of Kantas.
A chasm has recently opened not far from Daring Heights, which the locals quaintly refer to as "Daring Depths". This chasm provides an unique opportunity to document previously inaccessible caves, and perhaps ancient dungeons. Such prospect is too good to pass for most adventurers, and I was quickly joined by two of them: Mr. Gabriel and Mr. Turoch.
Before descending into the depths of the earth, my associates and I visited the town's general store where we purchased climbing gear, winter clothes, and some poking devices known to the locals as "10-foot poles".
We made our way into the chasm and, after nearly plunging into my death, we found an ancient vault door about 30 feet down the chasm. After inspecting its safety using my newly acquired poking device, I stand back and allowed Mr. Gabriel to open the door.
The room inside was built by a gnome many years ago, which now shouted at us through a magical pre-recorded message. On the floor lied the skeleton of a female dwarf with a fairly valuable loot, which was collected after it passed the standard poking inspection. It contained not only a bag of holding and a mithril chain mail, but also a ring which, ironically, I later determined it was a ring of feather fall.
The room was itself a puzzle, which had to be solved by pulling three leavers simultaneously: one about 90 feet from the floor; one protected by an electric field; and one in an underwater maze. Mr. Gabriel took up the challenge of climbing the wall, while Mr. Turoch took out his clothes and dipped into the water. I was charged with activating the lever behind a force field using my mage hand.
The levers opened a door on the far end of the room, which unleashed a huge golem. I got struck with a painful punch, due to my unprotected position in the middle of the room. Mr. Gabriel slid down the wall, while Mr. Turoch (the half-naked half-orc) attacked the beast.
My associates fought bravely, however, my spells only seemed to work once against this creature. Mr. Gabriel attended to my wounds using the healing power of vengeance. Fueled by a wave of vitality and desire to seek retribution, I charged the foul beast with my trusted quarterstaff.
The strike was surprisingly powerful, so much so, that the golem collapsed. Contrary to my previous belief, brute force can indeed solve some problems... Perhaps I should inquire Mr. Turoch about his stone lifting routine.
We proceeded to the next room, only to find a pit of acid with platforms hanging from above, where the laws of physics did not apply. The climb to the top was filled with danger, but my associates and I managed to reach a small room located approximately halfway. In this room, we found a box, which opened when poked. It contained a magic staff of memory. A fantastic artifact which, not only can erase the recent memory of a foe, but can also record it's owner's memories. In fact, I am using it right now to record this very log.
We returned to the door from which we came from, where we discovered that the original room was no longer there. It had been replaced by a much smaller room, containing a single solitary anvil. Such an unusual object to find in this place! A quick inspection with my poking device revealed that there was a genie trapped inside. Unfortunately, we did not have much time to speak, as the dungeon started to collapse around us.
What followed is all in a blur, as we dashed to the exit as fast as our legs could carry us and the anvil. After nearly escaping death once again, the genie agreed to grant us a wish to each one of us. I felt my mind expand, as I asked for a larger capacity to perform spells.
Overall, it was a very productive endeavor, and I am sure the journal I recovered from the dwarf's corpse will provide very valuable information about the several planes of the multiverse.
