How Glare You...
This story should definitely be handled with glare

Celina is in Daring Height. She's in her room relaxing. Looking out her window she can see that the whole town is still preparing for winter feast. Celina smiles happily and is in her own little world, when all of a sudden unexpectedly, Celina hears a vague sound of bells in her ears. This is followed by a very sweet and childish voice that leaves a message in her head
"H-hi! I'm Pixy. I'm... I need help! I guess? I've invited a friend to visit. We wanted to celebrate Mid-winter, with songs and games, eating all the cake, roasts and gravy. But my friend still isn't here. I'm real worried. Can you find them for me, please?".
Celina feels compelled to follow and she packs up some things and senses the right place to go. She takes off.
Celina looks around and notes she's in the middle of nowhere. There is snow all over the ground and all over the field she's apparently in. As she walks further in, she sees what appears to be a small tent made out of glass. However, as Celina stares more closely she can see it's actually made out of ice and there's lots of decorations carved into the sides. There's also angels and baubles hanging around the tent and there's a light coming from within it.
As Celina gazes at the tent, she starts to sense other people approaching. She looks around and recognizes some faces, Derthaad, Anwyn and Cam. She also sees a new person who she learns is called Igrainne. Derthaad looks around and seems to be counting everyone here. He mentions "I think we're all here". Just before the group decide to head into the tent, Ivan also appears. Celina thinks to herself that she hasn't seen Ivan since he found out about her secret. She wonders to herself will he still be angry with her. "Well, this will be interesting either way", Celina thinks to herself, while staring at Ivan curiously. He gives her a salty welcome and Celina can sense he’s still angry with her. Celina sighs and rolls her eyes.
The group head towards the entrance and a small pixie dressed in a long green coat with gold speckles appears.
"Come inside. It's so cold outside", the pixie says kindly.
She then leads everyone into her tent. Looking at the tent from the outside, Celina questions how everyone will fit. However, as they make their way in the inside of this place is massive. Celina notices that the place looks very cosy and she notices a long table with food set up. It looks like it's ready to be served.
The small pixie turns to everyone and introduces themselves as Pixie and she thanks everyone for coming. She mentions she's worried as she hasn’t seen her friend Apricot in a few days. They said they were going to come to her house for a party but she hasn't seen them. She very worried as she mentions it's not like them to not get in contact. Pixie mentions she doesn't have any gold to pay people with but she can pay in food. Everyone happily agrees to this and enquire more about the missing friend.
The group learn that Apricot is a kobold. That they are into the primus cult and like to build stuff. Pixie mentions they became fast friend over their interest in fey magic. They liked to turn into animals and have fun with that. Pixie mentions that she can teleport them to where they live and the group can start from there. Pixie just emphasizes she really wants them to be ok and hopes nothing bad has happened.
Anwyn mentions "We'll do our best to find them".
Derthaad asks if Apricot seemed a bit off the last time she saw them? Pixie mentioned no and that they seemed find. Everyone is trying to work out what could have happened to this kobold but they can't think of any other questions to ask Pixie. Pixie looks to the group and asks if everyone is ready to go. The group agree to leave and Pixie does a spell to open the portal.
As Celina goes through the portal, she notices she comes out on a cobblestone ground. Looking around more she can see it's a small place she's in now. It's rather unusual dwelling. There's a bed in the corner and there's a small fireplace. There's also a desk in the corner covered with notes and a rug on the ground. Celina makes her way over to the notes. She doesn't see anything useful. In the corner of her eye, she spots Derthaad head towards the rug and pull it back. He manages to find a trap door.
"Do you always find trap doors?" Igrainne asks Derhaad. It's then that Derthaad mentions he works as a detective for the city watch. It’s normal for him to spot these kinds of things. Derthaad opens the trap door and looks down. Celina peaks her head over and notices the whole hole is just pitch black. Ivan takes out a cube and turns it into a spider. He sends it down and it reports it’s safe to go down. So everyone head down. As Celina heads down the hole and gets to the bottom she can see elements of drones around the room. That someone was trying to make them but weren’t doing a good job.
Suddenly Igrainne points out a teleportation circle. Derthaad heads over and takes a good. He mentions he can see a long corridor and he walks through it. Celina follows and as he goes through she can see it’s a long corridor. It goes on for a bit. The group keep walking until they reach they end of the corridor where they come across two doors, both with different labels.
The first door reads 'For Brave People'
The second door reads 'For Less Brave People'
Celina stares at the doors for a few minutes trying to work out what they could mean. In this moment Ivan darts straight for the 'Brave People' door and blocks everyone from the 'Less Brave People'. He insists we are all brave and everyone should head to the 'Brave' door. Celina salutes to Ivan and heads into the door. Everyone also follows along.
After walking through the 'For Brave People' door, Celina looks around and notices that they’re in a massive Olympic size empty swimming pool. It looks like a fountain. Cam and Anwyn walk over towards one area of the pool to look further around the place. Celina walks around another area looking at other things and notices nothing out of the ordinary. Ivan, Igrainne and Derthaad start heading towards some junk in the middle of the pool area. Out of no where appears a duodrone and it starts singing. Ivan asks the drone to show us where its friends are. The Duodrone lifts up an arm and points to a door at the end of the pool. Igrainne starts to slightly panic if there’s going to be another ‘Jack’ situation on our hands. Ivan asks the duodrone if it wants to join the group. It nod enthusiastically and Ivan picks it up and places it on his shoulders.
The group catch up with Cam and Anwyn who apparently found a hose, they think is a bit suspicious. Suddenly the hose starts pouring out water and the pool around starts to fill up with water. Unusually quickly. Everyone starts to look for a way to get out of the water. Igrainne casts some magic and creates lots of seals which follow everyone. Celina attempts to ride the seals on their backs. She manages to stand, it’s wobbly but it works. Celina quickly uses her mage hand to find the exit. She uses it to guide the others where they need to go. As Celina gets out of the water, she takes a deep breath and shakes of the water. She notices they’re in another corridor and she can quickly see there’s another set of door at the end.

This time it’s Cam and Derthaad who head towards 'For Smart Ones' room. The door ones and everyone can see inside. The room looks the exact same as the entrance they started at. Derthaad takes a quick glance around and says that everything looks the exact same. He even pulls back the rug and finds the trap doors. Ivan mentions he doesn’t want to go through the water again. Everyone else also agrees. Celina mentions that maybe they should try the 'For Not So Smart Ones' door now. Cam and Derthaad sigh but realise it’s for the best. The group head into the new door. As they go in the duodrone starts to sing.
Ivan makes a suggestion of killing the duodrone. Derthaad agrees it’s not the best thing to do. Then he starts looking around for clues and asking if the duodrone is giving lines to a song. As the duodrone continues to sing, Igrainne says “Jeesh it’s worse when it acts like it’s real”.
Celina chips in and says to Derthaad “Hey you sound like a smart person. You need to start thinking like a not so smart person so we can get out of this room. What’s the not so smart thing right now? To smash the cute thing in the room which is the duodrone”. Ivan claps lightly. Derthaad sighs and rolls his eyes.
The group look at the rest of the room and Celina notices the massive grandfather clock in the room. As Celina approaches she can see that the hands of the clock are all different. There are axes and bows for hours and minutes. However what stands out to Celina as she looks further, is the mage hand for the seconds. The more she stares at it the more she’s convinced that this looks identical to hers. Celina tells everyone that she’s convinced that the mage hand is hers and she asks everyone to see if there’s weapons that match theirs? Igrainne mentions that Celina is on to something. After much discussion, it is confirmed that the items and weapons all match to one thing to each person in the group.
Everyone splits off to group to pull the items at the correct time. On the count of three everyone matches to their item and pull. Everyone does it perfectly in sync and a door opens. The group head through and there’s another corridor but this time there’s only one door with the words 'For You' written on it.
The group open the door and as they walk through they can see it’s a massive marketplace, with so many wonderful items and trinkets. As Celina starts walking through she spots a stall with apples out the front. Celina immediately gets mesmerized by this and starts working out if these apples are better than her apples in her shop. She plans in her head how may she could steal from this people while trying to talk to them. Suddenly Ivan comes up behind Celina to grab her. Celina immediately wriggles free. “Ivan is not destroying my apple plans today”, she thinks angrily in her head and uses all her movement to avoid Ivan’s grip again. Anwyn comes up and tries to grab Celina as well. Celina manages to quickly avoid them as well but not for long. Ivan quickly grabs Celina and throws her over his shoulder. Celina shouts furiously for Ivan to put her down. She has apples to buy and he’s stopping her. She’s so angry and tries to wriggle some more but she’s trapped by Ivan’s grip. Suddenly they walk through the door and there’s a wave that hits Celina and suddenly she forgets about the apples she was desperate to get a few moments ago. She is no longer mesmerized by the apples in the market.
“Why are you holding me?” Celina asks completely confused to Ivan. Derthaad also comes back carrying Igrainne over his shoulder. It appears she was mesmerized by something as well. Celina shakes herself off and awkwardly thanks the group for helping her.
Once everyone is ready, the group can hear the sounds of a party happening up ahead. Everyone heads towards the sound. Ivan is the first one into the room and sees the crowds of people. He shouts out “Is there an Apricot here?”. Igrainne assists Ivan in making sure his voice is heard. Ivan announced it again and it rings right through everyone’s ears. Derthaad curses out loud. Suddenly a nervous kobold says they are Apricot and heads towards the group.
Ivan seems to be irritated by this everything that’s happened and fixates on the Kobold. He stares at them. Ivan starts of questioning the kobold if they went through the fountain/pool thing? To which Apricot replied they didn’t and that they set it up so no one would follow them. Everyone gets confused and work out that they just didn’t want to invite Pixie to the party.
“Oh I see. Communication issues like Celina”, Ivan says while glaring at Celina.
Apricot ignores glare and just replies “I didn’t think Pixie would notice”.
“Well that’s a lie”, Ivan quickly snaps back.
Everyone starts to get angry at Apricot for not explaining themselves to Pixie. Like why did they not tell Pixie where they were going? That she had a big feast lined up and were so excited for them to go. Why couldn’t they explain themselves to Pixie? The hate is so strong and Celina starts to feel like this is the same situation that she got in with Sammy and also a similar reason as to why Ivan was still mad at her. Celina relates to the situation far too well. Suddenly Celina burst out in Apricot’s defence “Hey they could have reasons why they went silent. Maybe they don’t have to explain everything all the time to them. Who knows what their reasons are and we can’t judge”.
Ivan stares at Celina and then walks away. The group try to get Apricot to come back but they won’t join. They want to stay at the party. Everyone makes their way back towards Pixie’s house.
The group explained they found Apricot and mention she’s better off without them. They explain nicely what happened. Pixie gets upset for a moment and everyone agrees to join her for dinner so she doesn’t have to be alone. She welcomes everyone happily. The group eat delicious food and drink into the night. Ivan continually throwing glares towards Celina every now and then, leaving the rest of the group confused what was going on.
