Hi everyone,
I will post this writing as Pj, the player, not as my character Manaia. I'm hoping to make that an exception and post as her in the other parts of the forum (imagining it as the tavern for the most part, and maybe her notebook she absent-mindedly leaves lying around for the write-ups).
So as for me: I am Pj, the tall dude with the curly hair. I am very new to DnD, only having played 4 games before KE. I'm sure there's lots of room for improvement but I am absolutely enjoying it. Feedback or advice when we're playing or afterwards is definitely welcome
Manaia
My character is Manaia, a young forest gnome who's been enjoying her first steps in druid spellcasting. My picture is a good representation of what she looks like. Her hair used to be blonde but she can't be bothered to wash it and all her time outdoors has made it a very different colour. It's mostly brown with green patches where there seems to be moss growing. If you look closely, you're pretty sure you can see some animals in her hair but you're not 100% on which one.
Equally dirty-looking is her dog Tai. She and Tai go way back, and it shows. One of the innkeepers once called him "the oldest dog I have ever seen", and he's probably not wrong. He used to be useful during Manaias adventures but the old age has made him slow and these days he does come along but never very far or for very long, and fighting is out of the question. He's a smart guy and finds his own way home when necessary. She actually came to KE to save him and will do anything to protect him.
As far as personality goes, she's a bit annoying sometimes: she's very intelligent but she knows she is and comes off a bit arrogant at times. She tends to assumes others aren't smart enough to do anything but basic tasks. Besides that, she's okay, a joyful gnome who likes having a laugh.
Her background lies in ale brewing, and she has a passion for nature. Despite her fathers protests, she loved experimenting with all the different plants and herbs she found when exploring, and can make some pretty intoxicating brews. Her knowledge of nature isn't limited to what you should be drinking; she also knows what you should be smoking (and what you shouldn't).
I don't want to make this too long. I've written a longer backstory here:
And for completeness I'll add the link to my orcpub character for her as well.
