The wood elf crouched over his maps on the deck of the ship before staring at the sky. Curious, they had been shifting further and further the longer the journey went on. His predictions were correct, the stars really were different out here. When he had heard of Kantas on his most recent jaunt from his woodland home into the town to pick up more paper and ink for his charts his mind raced, what new celestial shapes could this place hold, what alignments could they prophecy. The sailor looked over his shoulder squinting in the dark "Alright lad, those maps look mighty funny. Don't think I've ever seen maps like that I tell you" Ilthuryn smiled and stood up to face the sailor and made several complex hand gestures before sighing and realising the sailor had no idea what he was signing. He pointed to the night sky. "Oooooooh right you are right you are. Stars or somethin' now I get it. Y'know once we had a wizard on board who liked stars like you, was a weird woman she was, kept muttering about fates." Ilthuryn smirked and in his hands a glowing orb appeared wreathed in misty clouds. "Huh, neat, weather forecast ey? Good for sailin' I'll give you that I'll give you that. Anyways my shift is over, enjoy your stars..." He squatted back down again and began tracing his fingers over the chart. as he did the lines began moving, shifting, changing. His sky-black eyes glinted ever so slightly in the light of the stars as he did. Yes, yes this land would definitely have new discoveries for him...
