Varga receives a letter, written on a scrap of paper and held by a terrified halfling who looks a little worse for wear. Letting the poor fellow go she reads its scribbled contents.

Your Father and I hope you have settled into this Dawnlands you wrote of, you really should write more, we love to hear from you. I read the notes to your father when I'm not away with work, what with his one eye and limited passion for words. We both had a dream last night that you were engaged in glorious battle. It was exactly the same dream for us both. We're coming to this Daring Heights place you spoke of to discuss your future. Your father thinks he knows what it all means, but he's wrong. I'll convince him on the trip that I'm right. Remember to drink plenty of water. Really looking forward to meeting all your friends.

Underneath is scrawled a post script in a much rougher hand:
