Swoop, I’d been on the road and wing for so long since leaving that I’d forgotten what it had felt like to have a warm full belly or some interesting talkin’company.
Lucky my first morning at Fort Ettin provided both in the form of some stella pancakes-that even rivalled Papa's sugary smothered belly fillers-and of course my breakfast company:
A bored lookin’ stacheo’d tinker fella Sterling, a nervous bearded guy I think is called Gerhard who I swear kept making notes and sketches of me-I can’t blame him mean who wouldn’t want to capture their encounter with THE BEETLE, a lizardy fella that couldn’t seem to stop his yapper unless he was filling it with food-Gutts by name guts by nature and chill blonde boy called Knocks with even bigger pointer ears than old’Grampy’s!
Then there was him…Marto the halfling boy…with his blond wavy locks…his handsome smile-HIS BUGGIN ARMOUR AND WEAPONS…..He told me he like’d my legs…No hesitation, no lame bug jokes…N-no one’s ever said that to me before about them…
Um…Annnnyway, before I was about kick totally his butt in an AWESOME TEST OF STRENGTH, the friendly hairy barkeep Coll, offered just what this fairy needed-A CALL TO ADVENTURE!
Apparently some super evil sorceress women called ArchJen the Fire Vortex-WHICH IS THE COOLEST VILLAIN NAME EVER….THE VVVORTEX!!!-had been causing trouble round these parts and had setup shop an old nearby cave.
Naturally Coll had been impressed mine and Marto’s epic showdown as he requested both our help in taking care of this nefarious villain…Oh and he even let my breakfast buddies tag along too…
So after a long, epic arduous journey-okay so it was more a 5min flit-we arrived at the evil….and very awesomely painted cave of the nee..nerfagou…SUPER EVIL Archjen! -Of course it was at this point I suspected their was more actress than evil to this ArchJen, but they’re clearly gone to a lot of effort, and I mean who says no to an epic villain showdown in their own evil lair?!
So in we went, and oooh the trials that lay in store:
A deviously disguised vast, ‘bottomless pit of doom’-that I and my companions expertly tackled.
The introduction of the evil villainess herself ArchJen to explain her EVIL PLAN-which Sterling promptly ruined by throwing a hammer at her mid monologue, I MEAN WHO DOES THAT?!
I then let our companions wet their tastes for combat with a scrap with some of her enchanted puppets.
Our ‘Gutsy’ little lizard then bravely surged ahead further into the lair, coming face to face with the ArchJen herself in her true form-A MIGHTY DRAGON! Myself and Marco though bravely confronted her, causing her to summon a mighty tree stead to ride upon about to face us in combat!
Oooh what a mighty battle was fought then, one that will surely be recounted into legend amongst the walls of Fort Ettin!
It was then once the final blow was struck-that Archjen revealed herself to us as not an evil sorceress but an amazingly talented actress Jenna and her red dragon friend who was giving us a training mission. Jenna is so talented that Sterling was completely convinced that she needed to be fully vanquished and had to be…restrained by some of the party! That, or he’s got a few screws loose.
And so with our epic adventure concluded, we celebrated our victory together back at Fort Ettin and recounted our tale to countless an eager ear..and so um.…Well, looking back on this all now...I think that I’m gonna like it here!
