Excerpt from Yinmaris' notebook post-adventure:
Dear Your Majesty,
I hope you are having a lovely day, I thought I'd update you on some disturbing events outside of Daring Heights. A group of other adventurers and I were given a job by a big company there to go search for their logging party that only had one person return, he was a lovely guy but clearly had seen something terrifying. My good friend Glint and I helped calm his mind and we found out something was hunting his group in the forest and killed his buddy, from what it sounded like it didn't sound like a creature from home in the Wilds or here in Kantas.
We went into the woods at the same time as a really cool dwarf warrior called Jadefist and her group of guards went in toi cover more ground and distract whatever it was that attacked the loggers. While going through the woods the being started talking to me, saying I was plump and full of life, that I was a great snack. Naturally, I retorted "I ain't no snack I'm a three course meal, hi I'm Yinmaris." Admittedly I was very scared and the fear nearly caused me to feel Winter coming but I didn't want to worry my friends but Glint gave me a pumpkin spiced cocktail so I was able to show a brave face. we found the Loggers campsite which was the first place we were told to investigate but I will hold off giving you the details as to what I saw other than four of the loggers had passed on and a fog was starting to show.
My friends also started to hear the weird voice, it wasn't like a trickstery voice it was malicious and was wanting all of us to be afraid. We did eventually find survivors is a Logger's cabin deep in the forest but before that we heard metal hitting metal like a big fight going on, we were told to save the loggers though so our group decided to get to this cabin as a priority. As we were getting out of the forest the fog raised up and a fog wolf (?) rose up and attacked us. Using bardic magic I made sure no one was killed by it but it told me it was from the Shadowfell and was sated by life so I played music which it liked but wasn't what it wanted, such a boring fog monster. We did chat about being from a different plane than here but they still attacked, I used illusions to trick it so it can't see through the most fun magic and if facing this creature that can be used to defeat it but I don't have strong enough magics to trap it.
We managed to escape the creature with 10 of the loggers, I was able to distract it by mentioning that the group and I had much stronger allies that if we we killed by it would destroy or trap it. Around this point we heard a large crack and the creature screamed as it screamed about not wanting to go back. We got to the factory the company's boss was and got rewards, I was lucky in the roll of the dice and sold some really cool studded leather armour for a bit of money and a favour (the best currency!) from Sorrel. Jadefist returned thanks to a cool horn Heret used signalling her, but she gave a weird story of here company being possessed one after the other and one of my comrades brought up the good point that surely she was also possessed if she was the only survivor. I'm not book smart but I am people smart and that made sense, we did however not push further because we had been through it, I had got so affected by today I went from Spring to Winter to Summer.

- Shadowfell folks are scary, also should find out where that person went.
- Pranks are effective against Shadowfell people eaters but music isn't. IMPORTANT.
