Carlin Mikitstala brushes the sweat from his forehead with one broad arm, shielding his eyes from the afternoon sun still high in the sky above the OMTC lumberyard. "Last warm day of they year, Dave, mark my word..."
Dave nods silently. Quiet man, Dave, but dependable. Good man, that Dave.

Carlin's eyes trail toward the south and the treeline of the Feythorn forest when he spots movement. "Bit early for the logging party to come back though..." he trails off as he sees a singular man running toward the lumber yard. Running for all he's worth...

"That's Rolf, isnt it?" Dave is staring intently toward the man fast approaching. "Why's he all alone?"

Carlin frowns. Rolf is a decent chap, but not a particularly hard worker. Kinda have to give him a push to get him going most days. Carlin has never seen Rolf running like that. He doesn't know much about a lot of things, but he knows that it's fear that gives men wings.

"Dave, I need you to run up to the town. As fast as you can. To the Three-Headed Dragon, the Townhall. Go get 'em Dave."

Dave throws Carlin a sidelong glance. "Who am I getting, boss?"

Carlin's frown hardens as he rolls up his sleeves and begins to jog toward the arriving Rolf, wild eyed, gasping for air and covered in blood.

"Fuck, just get everyone!"
