A tale of friendship, tea-riffic quests and swords!

Our story revolves around Oziah Daybreaker, an assimar with a thirst for vengeance… and a new sword. She sent messages near and far to recruit the bravest of the brave, to come help her with a mighty and heroic quest. In the end, she got this lot. Faust, an old and humble tiefling, Felix a charming and chatty Dwarf, Ivan a kind and heroic warrior human and Celina… a tiefling shopkeeper.
Our heroes assemble, after pleasantries exchanged they pack up their things and take off. They travel all day and rest up for the night. Come the next morning, they take off again. However on this day, they come across a massive cave about 15ft high. Our heroes debate what to do, but chose to approach the cave with 'caution'. So they light themselves up and walk in. As soon as the group enter, laughter can be heard throughout the cave. Did our heroic group panic? No. They proceeded in cautiously, far and deep into the cave. They kept walking, until they came across a large and monstrous beast… which resembled a massive koala. This beast was clearly blind but if you stared close enough at its face you could see that its eyes resembled galaxies. It soon became clear that one of our heroes became infatuated with our massive fluffy beast. This of course was Ivan. He would not leave its side and soon a friendship was formed, so strong between human and Bendai, oceans could not keep them apart.
However this story focuses on Oziah. Even though Ivan formed a strong friendship, the Bendai only had eyes for Oziah. Like literally, if he wasn’t blind it would look like he never took them off her. Oziah told the Bendai that she wanted to acquire a weapon and asked what she must do to get it. The Bendai thought long and hard, and after some time finally spoke. He tasked Oziah and the heroes with obtaining three ingredients. The first ingredient was to be a rare flower, the second ingredient was a fruit from a tree and the third ingredient was a drop of honey. Our heroes agreed to the quest. They took off, only receiving the following words of parting guidance from the massive koala:
1. Never take more than necessary
2. Patients is a virtue
3. Violence is never the lesson
The trials began, with our group coming to a large clearing. As they approached, they could see a hill in the middle of a lake, with an orchard sitting perfectly still. This was the flower they were after. Before our heroes decide to swim across, the old and very clever tiefling decided to advise the group that this was part of the quest. He proceeded to sit down and advised everyone else to do the same and just wait. Everyone eventually agreed and took a seat near him. Faust then passed the time by recounting stories from his most recent adventures. However he repeated the stories over and over again. During some time sitting, our perceptive shopkeeper noticed Faust being able to produce apple from thin air. After she enquired, she discovered that Faust had received a necklace from the autumn court which allowed him to do this a limited number of apple per day. Celina began to dream about how she could go acquire one of these necklaces for herself. Hours pass and before the group lost their mind completely from boredom, something surprising happened. The lake turns into a bear, gets up and walks away. Startled by this but not dissuaded, our heroes get up and approach the flower. And hooray, they had the first ingredient successfully obtained.
The heroes move onto the second location, where they come across a large caterpillar who guarded a tree with a multitude of rather large fruit. Before Oziah or the group move into do anything reckless, our fellow old and wise tiefling chipped in once again to remind people not to take more than necessary. The caterpillar warmed to Faust and allowed, him and only him to proceed and take a fruit from the tree. Faust old and fragile, managed to make him way up the caterpillar’s mouth steps to the tree. He pulled with all his might but could not retrieve the fruit so easily. He nearly slipped and fell complete. But he held strong. Then thinking on the spot he pulled out his trusty shaving knife and sawed off the fruit from the tree. Successful, he made his way back down the tree and produced the second item. Pleased the caterpillar let the heroes pass successfully.
Finally, the heroes move to a third location, which was a cave full of bees. As they approach, Ivan decided to fill up a quarter of a bucket with honey from a hive he spotted nearby. As the group stood around, Celina got an insatiable urge to eat all the honey she could see before her. Almost compelled to. Oziah used her quick thinking and commanded Celina to ‘Stop’. Soon after this, the bees come and surround the heroes. Ivan strong and fast on his feet, picked up Felix and Celina under his arms and bolted quickly out the door. The others also followed suit. The group ran for miles and finally realised they had out run the bees. With this, the group managed to effectively get the last ingredient.
After being fully exhausted with all the trials, the group make their way back to the Bendai. Proud of their accomplishments. Ivan upon laying eyes on his beloved, ran and jumped straight onto his massive koala beast friend. When asked what to do with the ingredients, the Bendai points to a large cauldron and requested that tea would be made for him. Oziah walked over and mixed all the ingredients without hesitation. The Bendai asks for something surprising to be added as well. Our reliable shopkeeper quickly pulled out an apple and threw it over for Oziah to add. Once completed, Oziah advised the Bendai they were done. He happily sipped on the tea, turned toward Oziah and asked for her sword. She holds it out and a magical ceremony is performed. Suddenly a beautiful sword, designed perfectly just for Oziah was now held in her hands. Overwhelmed with happiness Oziah was lost for words. The group received payment and leave the cave away from our dear Bendai friend. Ivan shed some tears and vowed he would make it back again to see his friend. And so ends our tale here, with one happy assimar a with a new sword. And a day out the group would never forget. And they all lived happily ever after!
So what’s the overall moral of the story today? It’s about how to be patient, not to be greedy and don’t resort to violence. It's also about leaning on friends to help in your time of need and doing things with friends is always much more fun.
But also another lesson is if you make fancy tea for a massive koala, you get a shiny new sword that is really cool, which can slash the undead and do serious amounts of damage… so tea is the answer! Always the answer!
